Hi All, This landing page is for a CB ebook and receives around 70-100 hops a day, from related keywords. I started the website around 4 months ago and just on one day I received 2 sale (2 months before) and nothing after that. I personally feel, that the front page has no preselling or warming up for the conversion and I also need to build a list. Please let me know if I am thinking in the right direction and also correct me where I am wrong and the other things to concentrate on for conversion. |

I am going to be straight up honest here... How many times are you suggesting the person click on a link that says "Download Ebook" or the like? and the reality is you are directing them to a sales page? YOU ARE STRAIGHT OUT LYING. That's 70 to 100 Women you are pissing off on the daily. Think about that for a moment... I do everything I humanly can to keep the 1 I have as happy as possible and you are pissing off hundreds if not thousands a week. You can do 1 of 2 things: #1 tell them you are sending them to the product of their dreams. OR #2 develop a proper sales funnel, get their e-mail in exchange for a REAL e-book they can d-load and then sell the CB product from there. I really hate to say it but WOW!

Two issues. The first one has been mentioned before. If you give the impression this is free, keep it free. Trust is a very strong currency. The second one is actually providing that this works. This type of advice has been around for ages but it is as accurate as flipping a coin and hoping it will land tails. So if I were you, I would focus on proof a lot more. Best regards, Razvan |

Somethinng seems fishy. Why track clicks from the warrior forum when you're only asking from a critique? Hate to dissapoint you but warriors are internet marketers and I don't think they would be interested with your offer. Ditch the tracking link and ask for a real critique. |

What you are trying to do here is presell. In order to do so, you must understand the product you are promoting and prepare or heat up the users for the sales pitch.Make them curious and offer them a free chapter of the ebook you will promote. This should be a start. Darius Vaduva |

Being able to choose the gender of a baby.. do you know how weird that idea is? I've to admit that i was surprised that products like this exists in the market. You are not going to convince me or my wife to buy the product. It literally looks like a scam. That's the customer's point of view, i can tell you that. If you want to have a chance of convincing us, here's a tip : use social proof and authority (two of Cialdini's Six's Principles of Influence). You say that there are mothers who have successfully chosen a baby using the product. To leverage on social proof, have a picture of these "mothers" placed beside testimonials. How about yourself also? You mentioned that you have successfully chosen the gender. Put a picture of you, your husband and the baby. Mention some of the favorite methods from the ebook. Personalize it to sound like something you used. For example, instead of saying "our body gives us natural signals", say "I felt cramping at my lower abdomen, and that's when i knew it was now or never in order to give sperms with the Y-chromosome a head start. Using this special sexual position outlined in the book, my husband and I.........". Remember to not lay everything out. Next, you mentioned about scientific research. If possible, could you get a researcher to do a literature review in laymen terms? Or get them to do a simple poster. Make sure their name is there with titles like "PhD, B.Sc etc" to lend them some credibility. Whatever you do, show that choosing a baby is possible using modern scientific methods and not some old wives magic. Reciprocity is also another influencing method. Free stuff makes people like you more. Remember, try to convince the toughest customer and I guarantee conversions. |

Hi metalstorm, Since you have posted your thread in the Conversion Rate Optimization forum, I think it fair to ask if you have tried CRO? CRO is not asking for people to critique your website design, or content. CRO is a process that involves testing, and a discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to make better decisions It would be more appropriate to post this in the Website Design Forum or in the Copywriting Forum. You should reserve this forum for questions and comments about CRO. So again I ask, what efforts, if any have you made towards optimizing conversions using CRO best practices? Have you tried different channels of traffic generation? It could be a matter of poor targeting of your traffic sources. Of course every effort should be taken to optimize your website content as well. What if anything have you tested? Are you using A/B split testing to learn which value propositions, headlines, CTA's your targeted audience engages with? CRO involves analyzing data from your marketing experiments. Have you setup any experiments? What were the results? How did you segment your data? The answer to your question of "why your audience isn't converting?" is in your data, and while you might get some benefits from a critique of your website, you'll never know how much if you are not testing and analyzing the results. |

From a "your page to the sales page" conversion perspective, your page has far too many "leaks". (Too many link that lead to other places.) I think that all of your link in that article should point to the sales page, not just one or two. Keep in mind that your most desired action is to get them to the sales page so you should make this prominent. -Ray Edwards |

Thanks for your comment!! I am new to this and was looking for some guidance. Comment like yours and others will help me steer to the correct direction. I have not done split test so far. But I am monitoring the heat maps to check out the engagements.

It is true that you are an affiliate. However, you are making a commission. Have you ever heard of a salesman "pre-selling" their product in real life? You are going to have to sell it fully. Tempt them enough to click the link. Real life salesman tactics work here too. Make the idea believable - they will believe you if you have social proof and you have experience using the product. Show them the great benefits of choosing the gender (convert those who wants to let "nature" decide the gender). Your product must solve a problem. Make "letting nature choose a gender" as one of the problems. You might want to appeal to Asian crowds of Chinese ethnicity also as gender is already a problem to them. You might not want to mention the same details twice. What i mean is add your own personal touch into it, something a very skeptical customer (like me) can relate to. You are going to have to put time and effort into it. Give the suggestions here a go and show me the page again? Try to convince me (note : i'm a researcher in biological sciences).
