My Squeeze Page Split Test on ... Red Arrows Hi Warriors, Thought I'll share a split test I did which those of you who uses arrows in your squeeze pages will find interesting. Looking at the 2 screenshots I've attached, which do you think performed better? Control - The one WITHOUT red arrows: http://trafficpillar.com/media/control.png Variant - The one WITH red arrows: http://trafficpillar.com/media/variant.png Go ahead ... make a guess ... It's always easier being spoon fed but your breakthrough comes when as a marketer, you make "an intelligent guess" and actually see what the real world result is. Chosen your side yet? Good ... *drumroll please* ...... And the winner is ... the one withOUT the red arrows. Ran the results past a A/B Split Test Significance Calculator and the results stand significant. So ... for those of you with arrows on your squeeze page, before you rush off to remove them, go test first. What works for me may not work for you. Here's an additional resource: http://www.warriorforum.com/conversi...t-testing.html Trust this is helpful at least to a few people (including YOU) :) |
Re: My Squeeze Page Split Test on ... Red Arrows Interesting. As long as the testing sample was big enough, this is good insight. On the other side, I've seen long squeeze copy beat short squeeze copy and in reverse. I've seen counter-intuitive advice perform better than proven advice. In the end it all comes down to testing and common sense. |
Re: My Squeeze Page Split Test on ... Red Arrows Thanks for the insightful post! I'm very curious about your thought on this result. What might be the reason? Is it because the arrow makes it look hypey? Or does it make squeeze page longer than necessary? Whatever this is the real reason will help many to improve their ctr! ~ Budi T |
Re: My Squeeze Page Split Test on ... Red Arrows I assume, the squeeze page is too short to say anything, did you put any testimonials or case studies? these are necessary to build a consumer trust to assure him that he isn't going to be fooled or is he going to really make money. Also, the one with red arrows WILL always work better. |
