What is the best squeeze page format? I hear that the shorter the squeeze page the better. What do you think? I plan on making a squeeze page with a headline, sub headline, image and an opt in box. Any tips out there on if this is a pretty solid method? Thanks in advance :) |
Re: What is the best squeeze page format? I say that it depends on what is the action you require your users to take. I would go for short as well, but having only 4 elements on page I think it won't be enough? You should consider some trust elements as well. Do you have the page ready? |

To some extent, it's also going to vary from niche to niche. Once you put it up, by all means send a screenshot and you'll be able to get some more opinions / suggestions for improvement as an imaginary squeeze page is quite hard to see ;-) |

Re: What is the best squeeze page format? You can avoid big images and use the text links in article to increase conversion , you can also try templates and themes to save time |

Here is the thing. you will NEVER hit a squeeze page out of the park on the first shot. and even if you did, you would still TEST it to be sure. The KEY to success with drawing traffic to an offer, is TESTING. My own personal method is this. I place up a squeeze page, and then I start testing how I am bringing the traffic in. at this point I could absolutely care less about conversions, I want to set the traffic right. Once I have a decent conversion / click rate with my traffic source, I THEN will start testing the page itself. tweek after tweek, test after test. I can tell you and many more here as well... just because something worked on your last campaign.. means NOTHING. Testing is simply part of the process to having a successful campaign. Check out this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/conversi...ed-arrows.html Hey, red arrows convert right... he tested it.. see the results of the testing yourself. |
Re: What is the best squeeze page format? Test different squeeze pages. Try ones with videos, ones with scenery in the background and even ones with an audio that plays as soon as they hit the site |

I would consider adding more detail to the squeeze page: 1. Offer something in return 2. Add bullet points explaining the benefits 3. Include a hero banner that shows your product/service being used (Don't go for stock images) 4. Testimonials, definitely 5. If possible, a video explaining the product and how it solves your audiences' problem 6. Experiment a bit with the length, as there is no benchmark as such. 7. A good and influential copy is highly recommended Shorter ones work great if what you're offering is inexpensive or Free. Longer ones are better at selling expensive products/services And yes, do share the experience back with us here. I believe everyone would like to learn more from your experience. Cheers ;) |
Re: What is the best squeeze page format? A squeeze page is more a psychological affair than a technical one. |

Hmm...technically speaking, isn't psychology a technical science? @chdduncan, One of the first things that you should learn about CRO is that everything should be tested. As soon as you start using untested assumptions you are moving away from the technical process of CRO. While short sales copy might often be the best for a squeeze page, there are certainly exceptions to the rule. The bigger question isn't whether short is better than longer sales copy, but what sales copy improve results, and which does not improve your desired results. Don't just ask the question on a forum, and implement whatever you are told. That isn't CRO, and it is very imprecise. Here's the approach I recommend. create 3 versions of your squeeze page. On the first version include everything that you think will have a positive impact on conversions. On the second variant, whittle it down to just the elements that you think are the optimal amount of content. On the third version strip it down to just the bare essential elements to communicate what you want your users to do. Then setup a split test to measure the results from each version of the page. After completing the split test use the winner as your control for the next set of tests, adding or removing elements one at a time and testing to see if they improve or harm conversions. This will provide the most useful answers to your question. And don't make the mistake of assuming that what works in this instant will also be the best for the next website. It would be nice and easy if the results were always the same for every website, however in my experience that is rarely the case. Each page must be tested separately to confirm the optimal content, and this must be retested periodically because what works best today will become ineffective over time, that is the nature of marketing. |
Re: What is the best squeeze page format? In my experience you want to focus on making your headline to where people are interested or have questions about your offer so then they will opt-in to learn more or ask questions. I think the main priorities for a squeeze page is 1) Have a good headline to draw them in and make them want to know more 2) Focus on the call to action to help convince them to opt-in to learn more. Don't clutter the squeeze page by trying to put too much on it. |

The faster they are driven through it the better. Don't weight them down with logic, it gets them thinking "do I really want this?" "Will I really use this?" "Is this worth having my email inbox potentially flooded with unwanted mail until I unsubscribe?" SCREW THAT NOISE! They wanted something, they clicked to see it, they see they can have it immediately and before they know it they have already entered their email address and clicked the button. They did it because it was what they wanted -- not because they thought about it.:smilies_confused: |
Re: What is the best squeeze page format? Alohapreneur that post got me pumped. I love leadpages its the price that gets me because it eats at my budget. I need more capital! |
