How do you keep track of your leads?

Hello. What are you using to keep track of your leads? When a question comes in from an interested buyer. I reply and mark it as important to remember to follow up. I am looking for something more sophisticated. Something that can follow up automatically or remind me to follow up and track if my lead converted into sale or not.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Hi Vinc, if you’re looking to keep track of sales and all, there are numerous platforms you can use that can manage those things for you. You could consider using free tracking from something like Google Analytics and setup goals.

You could even use ClickMagick or Quality Click Control like I do and say for example you done some PPC. It would track whether you made any sales from the reports and all. If you were tracking sales from someone else’s product, then you would need to ask the owner to place your tracking code on their Thank You / Confirmation page.

Another thing you can consider doing is when they are added to your auto-responder, setup notifications and follow up with them and assist them if needed. They signed up to your offer for a reason and if you can connect with them on a more personal level, then your chances of earning that sale will increase.

Why would you want to follow up automatically? Everyone is going to have different requirements and ask different things and if you’re sending out an automated message, the likelihood of them deciding to buy could be very limited, because all you’re doing is sending out an automated message that could possibly not even answer their questions.

If you make that connection with them more, then they'll most likely contact you to say they've purchased. Sometimes I haven't even offered them anything and they'll still ask whether I have an affiliate link.

Hope some of this helped. ;)

Most CRM's (client resource management) will help you keep track of leads. We've used Inside Sales, Method and Sales Force. Most CRM's are easy to integrate with your current site.

The CRM inside Premium Web Cart is great for managing funnels and sales paths. There are many other features you would use in their platform also.

Their elite package is pretty good at $149 monthly of if you want to incorporate some mobile stuff then their Platinum package at $199 is also good.

I personally use the service and I have two clients who we manage the systems for that are also using.

At the time we considered three options, Premium Web cart, Office Auto Pilot (now Ontraport) and Infusionsoft.

Ontraport's package cost was like 400 monthly and Infusion even more plus Infusion wanted $2K upfront set up cost.

I made a video about using them inside one of my accounts. The link is here:

Nick, I’m going to try AdsBridge as a tracker – is it still free? Or any free trial? Just
want to see if it meets my requirements and is convenient enough.

There are tons of tracking tools that help web designers manage sales. However, the best software must have the ability to compare data. By review this information, adjustments can be made to improve sales.

This one is interesting. I've tried Zoho before and I would say it was worth it. At least during that time that I needed it. I haven't actually worked with Zapier before but I had a few recommendations. I think this can work for my purpose. Powerhouse combination!

Thanks for this post. Good call.

Well, most good CRMs nowadays offer (mine certainly does) enhanced features for lead tracking such as lead capture forms, lead management tools, call logging functionalities, conversion optimization insights, contact & account management features, customizations, filters, tags and so much more. So I'd suggest you choose a robust CRM that can easily help you track leads effectively.

I have an email service provider (Aweber) that databases my leads for me. It's like $19 a month.

Infusionsoft.

It's a beast to learn, but has so many beautiful little features in it that I can't even imagine running a business without it.

One of those features is a CRM as has been meantioned above.

Recently I started using ClickMagik and found it to be a very easy platform to use compared to other tracking methods I tried before.

Check out My Conversion Brain. It does exactly that and more. It can also help you find out which keywords your leads have been using connecting through Google adwords api and more. So you will find out all the source traffic to all your leads, find out when they come back to your site and which pages they browsed and inquired on. Plus it helps you keep track of your leads from the initial stage to the close so you can see how much revenue each leads bring and the source traffic.

I would suggest a few. Not too fancy and not too simple but just right.

Check out Trello or Pipedrive.

doesnt have an automatic reply setting or anything for that matter but you can setup reminders and move them to the proper stages Initial contact>Follow up 1 > Follow 2 > Warm Deal > Closed
Kinda like that. They also have some Tutorials on YT if youre interested.
