Hello,

I've been working for weeks on a new VSL and everything is flowing smoothly. Now the question is: who to hire for the voice-over?

My target market is women over the age of 35. Should I hire a woman in that age gap to narrate the video, or would a male voice sound more authoritative?

I know the answer is to test everything, but I'm on a budget and I want to finish this by the end of February so I just want your opinions this time.

not that I am going to give you a specific answer, but I am going to provide a good amount of data... and a possible avenue to look at specifically. #1. just the numbers please. here is a good to great article breaking down your demographic specifically. the numbers are just impressive financially: She-conomy » MARKETING TO WOMEN QUICK FACTS

#2 would be social gaming: https://gigaom.com/2010/02/17/averag...ear-old-woman/ huge market for your target audience in particular. this is where I would specifically start looking. Start looking for video advertising for companies such as "PopCap" or "Zygna" and see / listen to what they are doing. would be a good indicator for the direction you might want to choose.

It appears like most people will buy from those most similar to themselves, which makes a lot of sense.
