Need some input on my website
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I was hoping some of you could take the time to check out my website. I have been doing SEO work on this site for a couple months and already have around 30 keywords on the first page of google with only 1 sale to show for it. Is it ugly? Is it slow? What the heck is going on? Please take a look, I would appreciate ANY advice. Thank you!

website is www.wholeearthharvest

Best bet is to do keyword research and target the most visited keyword in your geographical area.

For example... The keyword "buy candy cap mushrooms" I'm in spot #4 and our main competition is in spot #2 and they get TONS of sales. (I know this because they use us for drop shipping.)
They are also only a few hundred miles from us.

Any ideas guys? Our prices are good. We have free shipping and the site is pretty fast to load (for me) What should I change to help sales?

The graphics, in particular the background/header graphic, takes a long time to load. I'd definitely recommend working on cutting down the file size of that image.

home page...

picture of a satellite dish? Hughesnet really appreciates the advertising, but what does this have to do with mushrooms and fresh farm to table foods? ( "Farm to table" is a trendy term right now )

the word "home" I would remove that whole bar - simple no reason for it. I would lose the title header things on ever page actually.

"Out of Season" when is the season? and would you like a reminder when they are in stock? ( IE mailing list )

I have tried the opaque backgrounds in the past and find them to not work as well as a solid white background. something you may want to test.

images - all of them take to long to load

You have google analytics. you need to go in and see exactly how much traffic you are getting ( unique and return ) you also need to start looking at where these folks are dropping off. you may simply have a traffic problem, or there may be other issues the above will let you know which and where.
