Im not getting much conversion rate...

Im not getting much conversion rates. I would like to know how to improve my site.

100 people clicked on my site and only 6 of them signed up. Is that normal?

Here is my squeeze page: squeeze | Welcome
Here is my site: howtoregrowyourhair.com/welcome/

The mobile version cannot be centered because of the theme I am using, and tablets need flash player app to view the video. I dont have much options making it just right for mobile and it seems like I need to focus more on desktop/laptop users.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Well you can never make all 100 to sign up your website. Most of the users just check the latest service or product just for information or for future buying. So you just keep track of the new users and people visiting again.
If you are getting 6% in your start then its good. Start making some design changes and make your website error free for mobile users as well.

Also, make sure that the traffic is targeted. You can have the best landing page in the world and still not convert anyone if they are not genuinely interested in the product.

After making sure that you drive good quality traffic you can proceed with improving the landing page. The most popular solution is to do A/B tests and steadily improve the conversion rate.

Another thing you can try are online surveys. This way you can ask the visitors directly why they're navigating away instead of just guessing.

Your problem more than anything will be the traffic source.

Even a horrible squeeze page should convert at least 20% with targeted quality traffic.

where did your traffic come from?

You definitely have a problem with the lack of copy. Tackle the worst problems that real people face as they go through hair loss. People don't often by because they think they need it, rather they buy because they 'feel' they need it. Play on people's emotions to trigger their interest. And wallet.

How long have you been implementing this strategy??
If you are just starting out, then I think 6 isn't bad.
Besides, it is better than none. Plus, you'll still be able to improve your page so that you'll get more than that in the future.

Create a impressive landing page for your visitors so that they sign up quickly.

I'd test removing the photo of the youtube video. Single eye path. Single flow: Headline --> Opt in box.

Thanks for the replies guys, good criticism leads to great improvement.

This is my first squeeze page and I only created it a week ago, so I am still learning the basics, but I am working on a different template instead of this one because the current one looks a little dull.

Also, my traffic came from Facebook for those who were asking.

Thanks again for all the help.

Re: Im not getting much conversion rate...

If you optimize your online check out process you can boost your sales.
Here few tips to follow:
Be transparent: Many site update extra shipping charges at the last minute which is lead customer to leave the shop.

Product: Whenever the product got sold you should update the website. But when it is not updated for those customers who wanted it or who choose for there wish list may disappoint and leave the site.
Include social login and guest check out process.

Easy and crisp check out process. Too much information in the checkout page may confuse the customer and may leave the page.
Limit the navigation: When the shopper is adding products to cart, navigation doesn't annoy much. But when they reached to the check out process lower the navigation.

Re: Im not getting much conversion rate...

Hi Zioma. I wouldn't get down on yourself. A 6% conversion rate means you're capturing 6 emails for every 100 visitors- that's great! Remember that the people in your email list can each be worth hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on your niche. As far as your squeeze page is concerned, I do have a few suggestions:

1. In the sentence, "You are about to learn a 2000 year old secret that cures baldness!", capitalize the first letter of each word in your main heading. So it should look like this: "You Are About to Learn a 2000 Year Old Secret That Cures Baldness!" Do you see how much more professional that looks? Do the same for your bullet points too.

2. Remove the "satisfaction guarantee" and "best quality" logos from the bottom of your squeeze page. You're not selling anything, right? If not, there's really no reason to have them there. If you are selling something on this page then they're fine where they're at.

Good luck!

you must improve your squeeze page .

Re: Im not getting much conversion rate...

I think the first squeeze page looked great, I would buy from a site that had a clean and simple interface like that.

The second one shown in this thread looked way to IM gimmicky, but I'm not your target audience (quickly puts hat on to cover bald spot).

I personally like making small improvements and watching my results, I learned not to jump around from one template to another, to another, or to switch traffic sources or keywords every day because you don't get 90% conversion the first try.

I sort of went on a tangent...

Build that small 6% flame and make incremental improvements in reasonable amounts of time in between changes.
