Does "BETA" discourage user from using my website?

I created a web-app for creating and conducting online survey just like SurveyMonkey.

Its in beta... I am getting some traffic (approx 300-400 users/week - 90% new users - as per Google Analytics) but a lot is not converting.

Is it because, we are in "Beta" or probably something else that I can check?

Website can be accessed at - Survey Homepage | FeedsInsight

What can I do to change that? Any suggestions/inputs are welcomed.

Run a survey campaign and ask them their issues...

they're not staying with you

Then change your positioning and copy as per their advise.

You have more than 16,000 users which should be enough to
derive a good sample.

Your traffic source might also be indicator of no sign-ups?

What do you do for an autoresponder series once they sign-up
and even if they don't renew?

I personally love seeing 'beta'. Makes me feel like I am going to be one of the first people to try out a new software!

As mentioned, try a survey. I would also be running split tests on your call-to-action and see if you can just increase the conversion rate.

Also, try isolate a traffic source and actually investigate the users coming into the site. Could be coming from a poor-quality source where users are expecting something else.

Thanks @Sampartland and @jaywalters... I'll run Qualaroo type survey to get feedback from my visitors.

In between, @Sampartland, why don't you try out my platform and share your valuable feedback to shape the product? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Definitely let us know how the survey goes.

My thoughts though that it doesn't and might actually excited people because beta usually comes with perks for the customer such as discounts or other free access (since they are almost like beta testers)
