2 Landing Pages, 1 Youtube Video, a Facebook page - what else?!

Hi guys,

I've created another thread a week ago when I was first starting off.

So this is what I have so far. I have a Youtube video, a Facebook Page and 2 landing pages.

I basically just want a review on all of the content and what I might need to do improve my conversion rates.

Right now I have had 110 visitors for my first landing page (none for the second but i've only just put it up really). And I've got like 2 subscribers .

Am i doing something wrong? I've tried leaving comments on other people's Youtube fitness videos, but i don't really know how to attract attention. I thought a video might help discussing my personal recent experience with weight loss but i haven't had much attention...

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!

    Hi Sushi,

First things first, this is the Search Engine Optimisation subforum and none of your questions relate to SEO. If you have any understanding of SEO, I would advise simply stay clear of it within the weight loss niche unless you have a big budget.

You might be better posting this in the main Internet Marketing subforum, at the top of all the other sub forums.

Lastly, although 110 visitors and 2 subscribers doesn't sound like much, considering the weight loss niche is already so heavily saturated, it's an OK start. You aren't offering anything revolutionary, your content seems pretty similar to all the other weight loss content, and you don't seem to be doing any heavy marketing. So with that in mind, 110 visitors and 2 subscribers should be seen as a good start and something you can build on. Now just time to really improve on your content and what you are offering, and start increasing these numbers.

I know there's no real advice in what I have just written, but as I mentioned above, you will get a lot more help from the main Internet Marketing subforum.

    Hope that helps.

      Hi Ben West,

Thanks for that - could have sworn I posted it in the conversion section but I was switching between my phone and laptop so I probably posted it in SEO by mistake.

I guess it's a good start... In terms of improving my content, do I do this on the squeeze page? Or do I start making my wordpress blog into a masterpiece and promote that like crazy? But then how should I link it into my squeeze page? I'm actually a writer/novelist/poet so my writing skills are quite good. Just wanted some advice on what else I should be doing/using anything - if anything?

What kind of content would people be looking for? I have alot of personal experience, alot of motivation (good for generating motivational quotes) and I'm witty in my writing, so where should I go from here?

      Thanks,
      Sushi

If that is your video, 16 minutes is a long time to hold someones attention.

If you can really grab their attention in the first 30 seconds, people might hang in there up to 7 minutes. I would see if Venus Factor has a shorter version of the video, so you can get to your call to action sooner.

      Hi GForce,

Thanks for that. It's my own personal video i made, so i can cut it down to however much I want. Editing it is no problem.

It doesn't have a lot of views, so although I think it's definitely a good idea to cut the video down (which I'll do), i'm sure there is probably other things I can work on.

Do you have anything else in mind?

      Thanks,
      Sushi

I think Savidge4 gives good advice about segmentation. You can take the various aspects you are covering to make additional videos and attract more and more attention to what you're pushing.

a 2% conversion really isn't that bad.. not good.. but you can find other threads here that are looking at .01% conversions, so you are doing ok. I personally don't do a lot of video marketing.. but have some associates that do. they grind out the videos. if 1 video is getting you 2 signups a day what could 5 videos do? what would 50 videos do?

If you watch your own video.. you will see it is a bit segmented. Motivation was a topic. your personal revelation was a topic. the hormones or whatever was a topic. start breaking these down and doing smaller videos on each topic. Motivation you could turn into a daily video if you wanted. basically start adding to your potential reach by adding video after video.

In your social media start sharing other videos that help you motivate ( nike videos are good for this ) takes the tendency of sharing buy this buy this buy this another thing you can do is start sharing what you are eating... My sister in-law does this and it drives me crazy.. but she gets crazy shares and likes from this stuff.

the more of this you do, the better you will become.

Time is the biggest thing along with providing value to viewers.

Everyone who posts a video assumes they will get some views.

I've posted many videos over a number of years and I can tell you the one's I thought at first would be winners are not and the one's I just did thinking well I'll just make a video and provide value have become my best referrers.

In the niche of my choice I have several that have 100K views but only 870 subscribers.

In an experimental niche nearly 6000 subscribers.

    Time is the thing.

Make more content and stick with your vision.

Side track from time to time and keep going because you may just find the winning formula.

Thanks for the inspiration. How do you come up with different niches though? I mean, creating a video is all good, but do you just go plucking something out of the air, research a bit, then do a vid on it? And what kind of vid? Reviews? Tutorials?

I really want to help people and maybe get some extra cash on the side for doing so, but sometimes i really don't know what to go for as it's just fitness and business out there and I can't do business but i can do fitness.

      Thanks,

Hi Suship92... it's time to slice the sushi...

I like your style for rhyming and making your head lines catchy... but at this point, here

It's cute and fun, but remove the "Sign-up to me for free."
It has very self serving implications...

Make your copy about them and what they will get.

But your traffic source will also have a big impact in your
      conversion rates.

I haven't looked through your stuff yet, but this really isn't enough traffic to determine how a page is performing to be honest.

You would be better off either ramping up traffic to really see how it is performing, or hiring someone like myself to go in and design the page(s) off of best practices.

      Just another thought. Good luck!

      Hi BestPayInUSA,

I haven't given up per say. But someone said to me that if you're not passionate about what you're doing - forget it.

I have a new shorter video.

How To Lose Weight Fast - Motivation: https://youtu.be/swiDc25-D_4

I also have a new facebook fan page called The Epic Fat Fighter.

I am going to probably shut down in a couple of days as I've taken up a new interest that I'm passionate about.

I'm creating t-shirt designs and uploading them onto fabrily(the UK teespring).

You guys can check out my t-shirt creations here:
      https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sushis-Shack/381889605342598

I haven't uploaded all my designs yet. I have 3 or 4 others that I'm currently created. I have 1 that I love because of its uniqueness.

      Watch this spot lol.

Simplest suggestion that i would make is that, just replicate the number of videos with various keywords....
Whatever conversion you got is not bad to start with...
IM is about numbers.. when you start looking at the big numbers, obviously u will see how something is behaving better than others.
If you still want to struck wtih one video,, then u have a very limited chance for the niche like weight loss.
