I have had a proposition to promote an independent adventure holiday on my website, there are potential large commisions but tracking could be a problem. I run Wordpress but they don't. I need to know when conversions come through and for the adventure holiday company to see them too.

I am looking to show a conversion when they fill in the booking form on the exterior adventure holiday website.

My idea:

* Using the Google Analytics URL Builder set up my referral url with my details
* The company will see my referrals in Campaigns and conversions when they complete the booking form
* I will instruct them to send me daily Campaign reports via Google Analytics and then weekly to the adventure company

Any ideas on a better way to do it?

I would say think stupid... maybe not the best term but... because you will be sending traffic to a specific form? why not include your e-mail as a cc each time that form is used. again.. so simple its stupid.

The trouble is the booking form is on their site, so can't have a CC email option.

But you can "instruct them" to supply you with a report? LOL

If you cant say something good, then you shouldn't.

He is looking to track as well, what's converting where, attaching a CC email will resolve it? nah!

"Instruct them" meaning to provide instructions as to how they can provide daily/weekly emails via Google Analytics to us and them.

Copying us in on every email booking they receive isn't exactly a level playing field and probably contravenes data protection act on their part anyway.

I have never had the relationship with an offer that I could even request GA data, UNLESS I was working the other side of the offer as well. So I would not count on that.


Have you thought about a redirect on your site? you see them all the time site/go/offer-name the offer-name page would be the redirect. that way you have a solid count of that page on your site as to how many you are sending off to the lander page on the other site.
