Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. I create an affiliate site that is getting a lot of traffic, but bounce/exit rates are very high. I attached a doc with GA stats. I can post more that might be specific to solving the issue. I have a feeling it might be front page layout, but any expert feedback would be awesome. Rip up anything that you think may be causing the problem. My marketing tactics are bringing people to the site, it just isn't converting. website: www.bestmediabox.com Cheers! |

So I checked my stats Today: Page Views 204 Bounce: 98% Affiliate Link clicks: 30 Clicks Sales: 0 So almost 15% of traffic seem to be clicking on my affiliate buying links, but no sales. No sure what to do, I made a slider on the page which seems to have helped, but no solid results. |

Try creating a FAQ and Support Page. People love seeing these. It gives them a sense of security and trust. Answer some common questions.. +Is this site secure? +How can I contact you? +What is this site for? Place a link to your FAQ section on the homepage or make it visible in your menu. They might not even visit the page but just having it visible builds instant trust. If you use Wordpress, there are some great FREE 'FAQ Plugins' You will just need to search for them. |

Update, I changed a few things to test out. First I removed the logo as it was, dumped the top ad-sense bar, and made a slider for the top, kinda explaining a bit more about whats going on, and directing them to a review/top product. Traffic has been down, mainly because I haven't done anything today. Stats so far Page views today: 55 Bounce: 39% Affiliate links clicked: 13 Clicks CTR- 23% No Sales So some improvements on stats, So far the site has received 1703 in 1 week |

Could it be that you're targeting the wrong audience for traffic?

I agree with a lot of the feedback listed here. I wanted to add also Codith - it might be good to split test different times in which you load the newsletter subscription prompt. I saw that load over the homepage first thing, and along with some of the other comments about users seeking related/desired content, that could potentially also be causing some bounce. Maybe delaying the load time of the newsletter prompt or even loading it on-click on another area of the site would be great to test out to see if results are any different.

Make sure you're targeting the right people and try to link to your older content within the new ones
