Feedback for getting more signups

So here's the website I am working on: Kauai Retreats

1) Is it easy to find where to signup at?
2) Is it easy to find out what you are signing up for?
3) Do you having any feelings of "interest" or "curiosity" when looking at the site and the signup page?

How would you improve the website to get more signups?

I just started a facebook ad campaign so I can't tell for sure how well the ads are doing.

I will answer 'No' for all those 3 questions
You need to work on your web design and user interface
it looks confusing and really busy... You got great content though
but if you work on the design, image qualities and layouts. It will be better.

Please elaborate on what aspects of the website needs worked on. The owner of the business has told me that many of the people who visited the site and inquired have said the website looks very inviting. Problem is....the amount of bookings/reservations is too low.

Typography, Graphics, Quality of images that you're using and more.

You really gotta get more specific...

example:

the section near where it says "Bananas" - make it bigger
the image that says "Sign up" - get a clearer image
put your form underneath the slider
etc etc


or else it's just a guessing game.

I think what he was trying to say is @xianherrera07 that in terms of graphic quality you need to work on it a bit its like the Internet back in 2000. Youve got great content no question about that.

IMO, Layout looks a bit jumbled though. Try compressing the middle part. Like not having the full text shown, but instead place "read more".
Too much space on each side of the page. Why not transfer the "sign up" field which is found below the page and make it like a side bar of some sort.

Also, try using a different font on this one. Something that matches the website.

Let's say for all intents and purposes that the design is functional enough. You could improve it but it is not that awful either.

You are making some basic copywriting mistakes:

1. Your headline. Unless they are actively searching from your service, then it is too slim on information. What are the benefits of participating in this retreat? State them directly into your headline. I know that you are mentioning this into the opening paragraph. Chances are that most people won't get there.

2. Who is your target customer? It seems that you are trying to appeal to everyone, even if this may not be everyone's cup of tea. Make a list of 100 traits that anyone interested in your service may have. Then pick the 10 - 12 traits that are shared by 80% of your market. Then talk to this prospect ALONE. This will eliminate the fuzzy feeling of your copy.

3. One page, one decision. That's the golden rule. This is not catalog copy. This is your landing page. So don't sell multiple services on the same page. You'll just confuse your prospect.

To be honest, the 20% that ruins 80% of your copy is point #3. The page is not a straight call to action for them to come. It is a general presentation of your retreats. Each retreat may target the same general demographic but it is for different needs and wants.

Therefore, stick to a single decision they can take at any time. When they read the headline, the decision must be to read the deck copy. When they've read the deck copy, the decision must be to read the first paragraph. When they've read your product description, the decision must be to invest in it.

FOCUS on your message.

Welcome to REAL CRO. It's a guessing game.

Sure there are things that can be used as 'rules' or 'guidelines' but for your audience, your market, your ads, your everything - it's yours.

Not mine, not any other warrior's. I think what you're really looking for is to be spoonfed something no one else can do for you.

I get it, you may be more towards to design side of things, so I'll try to explain things the best way possible:

Whoop-dee-doo. Pretty colors, design aspects, images, fonts, inviting nature - none of these matter at all when it comes to conversions. So nod your head when they say crap like this and then dump the idea.

Exactly. You wanted to get specifics, so here they are. Open up the page and follow along.

1. Just above the youtube video, there is a menu of options. Remove that entire menu. You already have that menu (in more detail, in the side bars). There's absolutely no need for it
2. Reduce the size of the top banner. While 'cute' or 'inviting' in nature, you may want to consider just changing up the height of it because it takes too much space above the fold.
3. The ENTIRE front page's content should be repurposed into some sort of an information packet for prospects to get as lead-bait, that showcases all the benefits/features of the retreat.
4. At the very minimum, you need a strong call-to-action between where the ocean in the top header ends and where the Youtube video begins, something about the welcome packet.
5. The info packet call-to-action needs to be on every single page
6. The info packet will get email optins and sell the idea of the retreat more, then goes email marketing etc.


What this page really is doing right now is trying to convert cold prospects (or warm prospects with ads) to make an immediate decision. This rarely ever works.

What you could also consider doing is offering them a single discount coupon (even if it means raising the price: add $100 to all retreats, and give them a $100 off coupon) for a retreat that comes WITH their information packet. This just moves them along from visitor -> prospect -> lead

I can give you more suggestions, but you just need to get a single purpose and a single goal on this website, and you'll see what will work or not.

Hey Windrider07,

A few suggestions here:

Single Conversion Goal: Firstly, I would recommend using a landing page with one conversion goal as mentioned by others earlier on. Right now there are too many distractions (too many links on the page).
Decide on one conversion goal for your page: either to sign up for a package, to be a partner, or to sign up for your newsletter.


Ad and Landing Page Match: Since you are using FB ads, do make sure your ad design and copy matches your landing page design and copy to let visitors make a better connection between the ad and your landing page.


Basic Design: First impression does count. Right now the website looks old-fashioned. I suggest using responsive design for your website. Consider getting a responsive Wordpress theme. You can try Divi theme from Elegant Themes (suitable for both coders and non-coders) or pick one at Themeforest.
I would increase the copy font size to 16 or at least 14 to improve readability. Adjust the headline font size accordingly.


A lot of things to work on here. Get the basics right, then fine-tune and test. I recommend a complete redesign and restructure, focusing on your main benefit-driven headline, subheads (to support your headlines), your hero shot (current intro video is ok; remove the 2nd video though (poor quality)), benefit copy, testimonials by your customers and your main call-to-action (if you have a long page, repeat your call-to-action at the end of page).
Refer to this post by Oli Gardner, especially chapter 4. He did a mock-up of a resort landing page (with all the key elements and great clarity) that you can study and model after.

I mostly use Incognito files for getting more and more sign ups.
It is good and reliable way of getting more sign ups. I use Chrome Incognito.

1 - No it's not easy to find up where to sign up

2 - Yes, when you finally find where to sign up, it's easy to understand what are you joining for

3 - Actually I feel lost. When I land on your page visitors get so much to look at they probably have no idea what to do.

Improve the navigation, and the layout of the page. Make sure once people land there they have the chance of joining up. That should be the 1st thing they see when they visit you.
