My website has targeted traffic for a software that i am selling. There is als a free alternative version available with less features. All in all i get a conversion rate of 1.43% on all the uv that visit my site. I'm curious to know if you consider this an ok conversion rate or if i'm loosing out on a lot of sales? I'm top ranked in goolge for the keyword so there is really no mismatch as to what will be found. What say you? |

A total conversion rate of 1.43% from visitor -> purchase sounds perfectly OK for me. Have a look here: http://www.totango.com/wp-content/up...Benchmark2.pdf |

I would be catching all that traffic using an optin form, then not only can you promote your own software but also any software that launches. Long term this will be much more beneficial to you |

It's reasonable but impossible to say if good or bad with so little information. AC |

My insurance related websites tend to have 50-90% conversion rates, although that includes clicking on our phone number and not necessarily calling. Make your page easier to navigate, your message more compelling, and keep trying!

For visitor to purchase from general traffic 1-2% is industry standard. So, you are doing average. You could always improve your conversions. If you aren't capturing emails you are losing a ton. You can email them to warm them up and have them convert later if you doing that. There are plenty of things to test. Getting the traffic is usually the hard part for most people. |
