Gaining more converting traffic
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

After building for 11 months on our platform we are up and running online for about 3 months, so far the traffic flow is very low but it is converting. I receive about 5 - 20 visitors a day with a conversion rate of +- 20% - 30%.
This traffic is all from organic sources (google, facebook, forums, twitter,...) Now I want to increase this organic traffic and keep or increase the conversion rate. This is where it all goes wrong...

I simply can not increase the traffic while maintaining good conversion rates. If I spend the whole day marketing, outreaching,... The traffic actually grows, but fewer conversions are made and the bounce rate increases a lot.

This is all organic traffic, paid advertising is another beast that I am learning to control, and this seems to work with a lot of A/B testing and taking some losses.

How would you promote a product (SaaS and Hosting) to gain high converting organic traffic?
So far I am already Creating new blog content/press releases every week, getting the word out locally (works like a charm) and getting more active on relevant forums. Our mailing list finally starts to look like 'a list', so this should create a good source of traffic with a weekly newsletter/promotion.

I have been thinking to hire an SEO specialist to help us rank faster and drive more organic search engine traffic.

So you have been getting consistent conversions for the last 3 months with 5-20 visits per day?

And by increasing the traffic you mean just aquiring more of what you have already been getting (which seems to be converting ok) ?

The consistent conversions are going on for about 2 months, the first month we took it very slow as our product was brand new and could contain some bugs.

With increasing conversions, I mean targeting organic visitors that convert as well as the visitors I have at the moment. for example: for every 20 visitors I have about 2 conversions. When I boost the amount of visitors to 100 a day with other methods the conversion rate does not increase, it stays about the same.
Instead of converting 20%, I only convert 2%

And when you boost these visitors to 100 per day are they coming from the same source?

Have you been gathering any data?

raise 10000 traffic a day might be an idea, because with 10.000 people you have more chance to get your customer
