Anyone tried push notifications for conversion optimization?

Anyone here tried web push notifications to re-engage website visitors? What do you think about push notifications? Are they useful?

I dunno about you

but, imo, as a reader I don't want websites reminding me and giving me push notifications

pop ups are bad when done in the wrong timing too, imo...

It's a great way to keep your followers updated on your latest posts, and increase your site traffic. So, yes, right now everyone is trying this

I tried the Push Notification but many of my customers seems to be not enjoying the same.
However I got some of the leads from it.
Depends on what type of Push Notification you want and what you trying to convey.

Hi guys
What kind of push notifications did you try ? We've recently started PushAd, and we're improving our tool constantly - it'd be good to hear what kind of functionalities are you interested in. Is it just plain notifications or the segmentation, automatic sending on triggers, basket rescue ?

I have never accepted a push notification, I hate the damn things, and I don't want to annoy my customers with them.
Besides I work with emotional sales, mostly selling people on the first visit, having a push notification pop up would most likely ruin the mood and lose me the sales.

Hi Scott, Thanks for your reply. I would like to know your views on the following things

* Do you think that, as a marketer you should never retarget your existing customers because it is annoying? (Not just using push notification, but through other channels like email, sms etc)

You should be the one telling us more about push notification considering you are selling push notifications as a service via your signature :)

RE: Anyone tried push notifications for conversion optimization?

Sure thing. Basic facts:
- 12% of audience signs voluntarily to the notifications
- users can sign out at will
- only 10% of them do that
- the ctrs reach as high as 30%
- and we save up to 6% abandoned baskets

Yes you can use push notifications but the result will be very low in this. If it is k for you then you can go with it.

Push notification is not a great idea according to me. Because now a days there are lots of new methods available for conversion rate optimization.

Yes we have tried google firebase for that and got some good results. most of the People try to avoid those notifications but if you are sharing some good content, then i will still show some good results.

RE: Anyone tried push notifications for conversion optimization?

Hey, Not sure you 100% correct. It's true that that is a lot of new methods available, but push is brand new, and really a lot of CPA networks started buying on CPC, and that is a thing that has never happened. Everybody is looking to get in on this. What i'm saying is, don't get left back on this and start testing :)
Cheers
