We did what we can but the conversion is still low

Our website has been up for a year, with daily unique visitors around 50.

No matter how hard we try with FB ads, google ads, youtube videos, blogging, infographics, guest posts, backlinks with friendly websites, we still can't increase traffic much. Getting people to leave a comment after they've bought is even harder.

We also do ebay to make more sales and collect more data, hopefully we can shift them to our website, but up until now, only we've only had 1 successful referral.

Luckily, we do have sales, averaging US$1300 / month. Most sales come from promotions like Christmas, seasonal sale etc. However, we don't want ppl to come just for discounts, as this is not sustainable behavior i think.

What else can I do to increase my niche traffic and conversions? I've tried doing the same thing over and over month after month but I'm not getting any improvement.

How can I create a sense of belonging for my customers?

Hi there. Did you look at how your website is performing? Before you focus on sending traffic to it, you need to make sure it's as good as it can be: great landing pages, optimised for your keywords with at least 300 words. Page titles and meta data all optimised. Prominent Calls to Action to encourage conversion. Simple navigation so people can complete tasks.

This will help for two reasons:
1. you'll know that when you do get more traffic, it's more likely to convert
2. Google will eventually pick up on the fact you have a high converting site and will assume it's a relevant site to show in search results.

I would also think about what people are searching for naturally that is related to your product - then create a landing page to address it using quality blog-style content. A great example I heard about recently was a warehouse inspection company - quite a dull profession! They came up with a great page all about the four most dangerous workplaces, featuring the power station in the Simpsons and the Death Star! It did their organic traffic the power of good!

It's kind of hard to be more specific without knowing your website..

Hope this helps

David

Can't answer based on the info you gave. However, you can go to www.kissmetrics.com and read up on their conversion tests and learn from their testing.
