although my website averages 3500-4000 unique visitors, I am only making $5-$20 I think this is really low and I don’t know if its a design issue or technical issue. Please assist!

It really depends. What are you selling? How high is your price point? What are your conversion rates? Do you have a long lead time or a short lead time? How much should you be making to break even/profit? And most importantly, what is your website? It's hard to diagnose a problem if we don't know what the symptoms are. |

Getting unique visitors isn't enough. The visitors has to be targeted. People can get tons of traffic but if they are random then what's the point.

Not selling anything, it is a content/news driven site.

With over 40,000 visitors monthly, there are many ways to make a lot more money. Tell us a couple of things on how you monetize your traffic, or if possible add a link, so we can check your site.

Looks like there is some good potential there. Just tell me a couple of things: 1. Are you writing these posts? 2. Are you making these $5-20 just from the Adsense ads I see there? 3. Are you making any money from your Amazon store? 4. Do you really only have 283 subscribers? If the answer is yes, then this is where you should start from. 5. Are you making any money from your email list? |

So, to reply your initial question it's not a design or technical issue. What you need to do is increase your conversions rate by the following ways: 1. Increase the number of your subscribers. Where your subscription form is located, it is almost impossible for someone to find it. I could double your subscribers' number in one month. Just a single month! 2. Start making money from your email list. I know that you probably do not agree with this, but there are hundreds of ways to do this, without making these people feel like they are being spammed. Just design your campaigns carefully and you can make some good money, without making your subscribers feel spammed. 3. Replace your Adsense ads with targetted ads of businesses who sell products for pets. You should actually try to sell your website ad space. Just email a couple of companies that sell products for pets, send them your Analytics and you will make multiple times the money you make from Adsense. 4. Remove your store, or replace it with one that would bring you some sales. No need to use the money for yourself. But by making more money you can invest them to get more traffic and reach more people. You can also use them to promote your goals. I also checked your FB page. Huge potential there, too. |

Then how are you generating revenue? If it's Adsense alone 3500-4000 visitors a day won't cut it. Adsense only pays you per click. The general rule of thumb is $1 for every 1000 impressions., thought it can be much higher or lower depending on how often visitors interact with ad content.

What kind of website it is? Is it a webstore or a blog? Read your analytic data. Read carefully the interests of your inbound traffic. Where they came from; where they landed and how long they stood. Analyse source of your traffic. For example if you are selling wood stuffs and getting traffic for undergarments will do work right? Check ad placements in case of you run a blog. Run some experiments (A-B test), implement some high value related keyword at the beginning of the document, control types of ad to be delivered in that page/site, etc... hope this help.

First thing to check: Are you sure you're getting that many visitors? Is that info from something Google Adwords, or some stats software on your webhost? If the latter be careful it's not including bots and spiders in the visitor count...

Hey, I think the logo could look more animal-lover appealing, and the website currently looks more like a blog. I think if you made it easier for people to navigate around and or support it you'd get a potential increase in revenue. Simple design is the key to an user friendly website.

Hi there vmustang, you must increase your traffic into your website through investment traffic because it is targeted..I highly recommend to dive in at Facebook because in there you can use the Facebook Advertising.

I guess you are not targeting the right audience, or your targetted keywords are not correct as you are getting traffic but it seems people are less interested in your products. Check your site analytic and check for the bounce rate.

It's more likely to be an intent issue. Your visitors intention when they click on your site...if they don't find what they want they won't click on anything except the back button. I think your traffic isn't targeted.

You might not be facing any such issue, the real issue is with your conversion, it is not that much conversing, that is the only problem. to resolve this issue, you must change your promotional activity, or you can also look for some another campaign which is much more converting so that you can earn more from it.

You should be building your list. With that kind of traffic you could be adding 50 addresses a day. In one year that would be nearly 20K addresses. If your visitors have eclectic interests, start by using a very general lead magnet. Then you email specific free offers to get them to opt into targeted lists. Then you sell targeted products to your targeted lists.

How are you with money? Any money blocks aka limiting beliefs around dough? I ask because if you feel good, and clear, then keep doing as you are doing, and more cash will flow in. But if you feel the not enough energy - seems like you do - then feeling your money fears and letting them go will alert you to keep doing as you are doing, sans fear, or perhaps nudge you in the direction of proven practical tips you may be ignoring. |
