Conversion Affiliate Site

Hey guys!

I have an affiliate site for womens fashion. I get traffic from Pinterest & other fashion forums.
Anyways...

According to analytics there were 3000 hits on the website in the last week. But i have only 100 clicks on Amazon. (2 conversions) :smilies_confused:

Is this normal for this niche? I'd like to think that more could be clicking on the offer itself..
Fashion Center | Stay up to date - Could I have some input, please?
Home is not that important. It has only visited 30 times, they usually get direct links on the pages.

Oh, on how i get them on the page:
  • Pinterest should be obvious.
  • I help out in forums, and have my link in the signature. Pretty basic too.

I dont want the site on Google. Because i dont want to invest for SEO in a general Fashion Blog because there is too much competition. I started that project just for fun.

I did the Buy Now for a Call to action. But in that extend it looks a little ridiculous...

Any help is appreciated!

overly your site looks great crisp clean nice layout. The only thing that is glaring at me would be the "buy Now" button seems kinda muted mucky blurry?

You may want to test changing your call to action. your target audience is not so much the type of online shopper that just sees and image and purchases, so having a quick look at some of the heavy hitters in fashion ( gap, walmart etc... ) I see they are using "Quick Look" as a call to action.

Hope that Helps!

Test different versions of the call to action. Buy now means commitment for the visitor. I would start with "Click for details" and then let Amazon close the sale.

The conversion rate on Amazon will not vary much, you just need to send more traffic.

Hope that helps!

100% agree with this advice. Looking at the products, visitors are far too early in the buying process to want to click something that says "Buy Now". They haven't yet seen the details, additional pictures, price, etc.

Even if it does just go to the description, psychologically, "Buy Now" is a big commitment that will keep people from clicking. Maybe they want to check a couple options, or think it over and come back later to buy it.

Changing the text to something less intimidating could help out a lot. Even something like "View Product" would probably be much more effective. :)
