mobile app landing page

Hello,

has anyone tried to optimise conversion rate on a mobile app landing page by adding a form where the user can text the app's link to themselves?

here's an example:

Does it work? any recommendation?

Thanks,
Dan

I haven't tried it, but I imagine it works. Anything that makes it easier for the customer.

Just a question. Why would you want to text it if Google Play (and I suppose App store as well) let you install the app directly on your phone?

It is more simple than texting it to your phone. (just one button press) But yeah I get it, you might be right about that.

Absolutely. I'd wager that some people aren't aware just how easy it can be.

Also, this just dawned on me, and I don't even know if it's possible, but this would be an easy way to collect people's contact info.

Apparently it's doable with Google Play, but not with iOS.
