Critique of website

Hi guys,

I am studying marketing and agreed to help a friend out with promoting his new business.

Here is the website: www.d24wrestling.com

What do you think of the website? Any changes that need to be made etc.?

Thanks
:)

Website looks great. I love the option to switch to desktop if viewed from a mobile device.

There are tons of changes need to be made with this site. Here are just some points, which are visible without deep analytics:
1.Zero-informative homepage. When I enter your site, I see slider with some cartoon guys. But I don't know them, and this says nothing to me. What is your site about? Why not to place a header something like "D24 Wrestling - most played card game about wrestling" (not the same copy exactly, but something motivating) Why is your game better than others? Place 3 to 5 bullets with benefits of your game. User makes decision in few first seconds will he stay on the site or not. Help him to make right decision.
2.What is the goal of your homepage? Sign up, sell, subscription to your newsletter? Decide, what you want from user and place appropriate CTA buttons.
3. Buy now page. White billing forms are much more trustfull, than the dark one. Try to split-test it. "Buy now" button has very low accent right now. I think by making it larger you can increase its CTR.

It is just few things I've seen from a quick view on your site. Hope it will be useful for you.

This site requires a full overhaul. The business model and the product seem very dated. I am not sure how to even begin to market or sell this.

My recommendation? Visit local "card stores/variety stores" and see if they will do a test with the product and see if parents buy it for kids. I don't know how this will compete with the bigger trading card games like Pokemon and YuGiOh.

If your product testing goes well then the actual product needs to go under redevelopment for a more professional look. Next the website requires a full overhaul and should be built into an E-Commerce platform such as Magento.

Hello,

when I clicked on your link, at first, I told me : a free online game. Then, I understood I was wrong and I thought: a comic. Eventually, I understood it was a tabletop game.

Black font with white letters hurt my eyes (specially in the page "How to play": I couldn't read all).

You should put a video of your friend explaining what is the game, or even a live game.

What's all that black space doing at the bottom?
