Step by step testimonials and how to find people, create them and use them in your copy

Hi forum.

I'm new to launching products so first thing I wanted to ask is how to find people for testimonials, how to contact them (what to write, so they can make a review and how to go about it) and what to offer in return, since I noticed every product has a few testimonials.

Because I was thinking about creating my own products instead of being an affiliate.

    Hi Tomas,

    You can go and send Private Message to fellow warriors and give them review copies of your product.

    A few things to note:
    - Take a look at their posts and threads. Check out people who posts in the same niche as yours and has a lot of posts and thanks. You also want to see if their messages have a positive air and upbeat personality. Usually those people will be happy to give you reviews...
    - Shoot at PM-ing at least 20 people. If you can get half of them, great!
    - In the mesage say something like, "Hey, [name]! I 'd like to let you know that I have a new product coming up, and I thought you'd be interested. I'm offering you a review copy of it, and it'd be great if you can give me a review on the launch date." Something to that effect!

      I agree with BudiT's comment. Getting reviews from those who have the same interests as you will give you will benefit you more as they have a knowledge about the product/services you are offering and could also give you advice or opinion for improvement.

    One WSO I saw awhile back got tons of people to leave reviews by offering a large discount for anyone that left a review.

    I believe the product price was like $17 normal and $7 if you promised to leave a review after purchase.

    I don't have a link to the thread but I recall it was filled with dozens if not hundreds of reviews.

      To make that fully legal - in the US at any rate - that incentive for reviews needs to be disclosed when the testimonials are used.

      On my own website, on every page where I have a testimonial, I also have this (true) statement:

      Like all the testimonials on this site, the customer comments on this page were provided without compensation, incentives or rewards.

      If you are well networked and have a good product, you don't need to provide any incentives for testimonials. Just ask.

    It seems to me that many sites are using fake reviews when starting and no on ever checks. After a few sales they ask for reviews from real customers.
    With this said I would avoid using fake ones.
