Your VSL experience using Jon Benson's 3x forumula?

I was at a seminar where Jon Benson pitched: Jon Benson's 3X Sellerator | Automatic Sales Copy For Cash-Generating Video Sales Letters And Sales Pages!

The dude has a slick presentation.

I almost whipped out my 3k.

Anybody use his program to create a VSL?

Anybody use his program to make a crap load of money?

thx in advance,

Adam

His style is definitely for some people more than others.

I'm more interested in if his stuff works.

Do you know of anybody who used his formula for their VSL, and it worked?

I bought the first edition YEARS ago, shortly after it first came out.

I figured since most of the video sales letters on the top of clickbank,
at that time, were written either by him, or using his method, it would be
    something to check out.

I've done hundreds of video sales letters, and in all honesty,
I've had some do just as well, or better, not using his formula.

I did a binary options VSL recently that did over $600,000 in sales
and honestly, it was written from modeling one of Agora's old sales letters.

In other words, I think when the VSL and Jon's formula first came out,
it could have been the novelty of the VSL, just as much as the formula
itself, that led to it being successful.

Did Jon's formula help video sales letters or did video sales letters
help Jon's sales of his course.

I mean, his course is HUGE, and so in depth, and gives you a ton
of templates and formulas to follow.

But when it comes right down to it, it follows a lot of the same
proven steps to salesmanship in any winning presentation.

Get attention, have a unique USP, yadda yadda yadda.

So, it's tough to say if the novelty and learning modalities
of video sales letters is what led them to be so successful...
and not so much any specific formula.

Again, selling is selling... you can package up different
methods into different courses and call it what you want,
but if you can write a good sales pitch, you can transfer
    that to video.

Again, some of my biggest winners in the financial niche
were simply from modeling swipes of Agora financial letters.

And they worked VERY well in video.

So, I know that's not a very specific "Yes/No" answer as to
whether or not his course is worth the money.

To me, it helped give me a pretty easy formula/template
to follow... and I used it as kind of "landmarks" in my copy
to know when to include what, and where.

In other words, instead of staring at the blank page blues...
it helped me keep the copy formulaic, so I could start it
    easier.

But... if you'll notice on Clickbank, one of Jon's written
sales letters is doing better than some of his VSLs.

Again, it's all about the pitch. A great written letter will
    crush a poorly done VSL.

And yes, Jon also sells a course on his written sales
    letter formula :-)

Hope this helps a little bit.

      Good analysis Shawn.

You gotta admit, though, Benson's sales presentation does a nice job of 1) making same-o same-o seem new, and 2) presenting the product as a silver bullet.

If anyone who writes copy doesn't know how to do either, they could learn a lot studying his stuff.

Actually, Alex, you did a better job with your analysis than I did.

I wrote a long winded piece about it, and you literally hit the nail
on the head when you said "made the same old same old seem new again"

Bingo... you nailed it... I couldn't have said it better.

Jon took a lot of the same copy principles we all know and used...
put his touch on it, and packaged it up.

I read this somewhere... "there's nothing new under the sun, but
you can repackage that sun, make it a little brighter, and tell people
it's new... and they'll buy it"
