One word: money. If your message does not communicate clearly why I should give you money for your product or service, I won't.

Even if your offer is buying $1.00 for $0.05, if you can't tell me, I won't.

You need copywriting because you asked "Why I need copywriting?" and "I worth learning?"

You only need copywriting to make your business thrive and attract more customers and, hence, more money. If you don't want these, then you don't need copywriting.

Copywriting is what attracts your customers towards your product / service. If you can't present your product, then no one will buy it.

Here is an article precisely on this topic that we've written a few months ago: Why Your Business Needs Professional Copywriting - TypingPandas

I hope this will help you understand that without copywriting and marketing, your business is dead.

You need copywriting the same way you need good branding or good design.

Copywriting is all part of your presentation and what things people associate with your brand.

I relate copywriting to a really attractive person. They might lure in by their looks, but if what comes out of there mouth annoys you, it's over. I used this for one of my sites Shop of Moxie

Yes, it is worth learning, whether you learn to do it in English or Italian. It is the art of using the written word to inform, create desire, and lead people to buy.
(Or is that "help" them to buy?)

Quality copywriting will multiply your sales with the exact same amount of traffic.

Incorrect. It is NOT an integral part of any website. Many websites are not selling, they are providing information. Not all business websites are "selling" either.

Copywriting DOES NOT get you more visitors. It helps you CONVERT more of your visitors into buyers, or to opt-in to your email lists.

You have some good points posted here already. I really like the one about presentation. We all wish everyone would just intuitivly understand the product and know they want it, but the real world is much different.

You have to present your products to people and explain how and why it can help them with their problem. There are other benefits such as improving conversions, connecting with readers, etc. as others have pointed out, but is definitely a key skill you should pick up.

I would almost go as far as to say is one of the most important skills you need to be successful. Think about print ads where there has been millions of dollars made and spent. All you have is copy. Adding pictures other content just changes the medium, but at the end of the day your copy will still exist and is what drives your sales.

I see your assertion that copy does not drive traffic, only convert...

...and I raise you Send your enemies glitter -

Most people I knew only needed to hear the name of the website to start searching for it on their own. Powerful/interesting concept + clear, concise name = viral sensation.

Of course he has the copy on the site to back it up. And it was overwhelmed with orders and had to temporarily stop accepting them at one point.

Point being: traffic and conversion are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

And if copy doesn't drive traffic, what exactly do you make of Google AdWords?

You have no idea what copywriting is do you?

When you write a great ad and get more traffic to your site because people clicked on that ad, you've used copywriting to get more traffic. End of story.

Mostly, I can justify high price of a copywriter with the improvement in conversion that will be made available, it's one time investment but it pays off almost immediately if you are running paid traffic through it..

You should absolutely learn copywriting. One other benefit that isn't directly monetary is learning how to communicate and connect with people. All of my writing, whether it's fiction, blogging, articles, whatever, has improved because I learned copywriting.

I wasn't just learning a skill; I was learning about human behavior, how to get people to read what I write, how to get people interested in what I have to say. Even when I've taught different topics in person or have to speak on something, copywriting has helped me to structure the way I do that. Occasionally I can even see its influence in my conversation. My communication is clearer, which improves my relationships.

So yes, copywriting will make you more money. It will also, in my opinion, make you a better person. Assuming you don't compromise your ethics just to make a quick sale

If you want to make as much money as possible, and persuade customers or products are valuable, meaning you understand the psychology of human behavior, And how to motivate people to want to purchase your products, then you need copy writing.

    If not, you don't lol.

Everything written for a business is going to sell the reader or make the reader realize that the other business (that had copy better related them) is a better fit for them. Even if the other one has better services.

I was in the same dilemma. I wasn't sure if I should do it myself or hire out to do my copywriting. Glad I hired out. It was, what I thought at the time, pricey, but I was really happy with the results.

I'm only dropping this link because not only did I hire them, but also purchased some of their copywriting workshops too Shop of Moxie

You are selling something for $50.

Bad copy coverts at lets say 1% (just using as an example) and good copy converts at 5%.

10000 visitors hit the page. That means the bad copy nets you 100 sales and the good copy nets you 500.

Because copywriting is the most powerful marketing tool at your disposal.

Words make or break businesses. They sell products, services and ideas. They don't just contribute to revenue, they drive it.

You can have the best USP in the world, but if you can't communicate it, then it's useless.

Whether it is online or at the shopping mall, you need occasional sales copies to catch the interests of potential buyers. Copywriting contributes a great deal to the success or failure of most businesses today. Many people buy products and services online based on the quality of information they find. In order to communicate well with potential as well as existing clients, you need to have a good copywriter who understands how to capture the imagination and expectations of the audience.
