How to make yourself robot-proof

This is a decent post on what you can do to prevent losing your writing job to a robot:

Don't Panic, But This Article Was Written by an Algorithm - Copyblogger

I disagree with his opening paragraph, because if you know how computers work, you know that his lead could not have been written by a computer. In contrast, the sample he cites is something that simply takes plugged-in data and turns it into meaningful human prose, with no personality or creativity added.

But the rest of the piece shows insight.

This topic is starting to gain some ground. This year, I think.

Nevertheless, I commented about the subject on another blog. I said that as a programmer behind a similar type of "bot," I know developers have a particular motive behind creating such tools. That motive is to see "if it can be done," and "if so, how far." It isn't to replace writers, because the deeper you delve into this arena, the closer you come to the realization that human intervention (i.e. human writing occurring from human thought in a human brain) is required and golden. To the programmer, human intervention is the "black box," and no code can ever match or touch it. So, so far, it's a phenomenon based in simple curiosity.

I know some bots claim to have artificial intelligence, but that's a ridiculous idea. The fastest computers that we have today take *days* to learn something or solve a problem that the brain manages to do in seconds. So they won't be stealing anyone's job anytime soon, and we don't have to fear it. Instead, I say we should embrace it.

I say that (as a writer as well) because these tools can be beneficial with the appropriate application. For example, I write articles and use my own content generator to conquer writer's block. It automates things like context, grammar and punctuation so that I (as a writer) can concentrate on the message rather than the mechanics, and I can move on to the next writing project asap. So in that regard, this bot -- this simple curiosity -- is a facilitator, not a job killer. It can even be thought of as a job-enabler the more I think about it, especially since I can acquire more online writing work with it.

Human intervention is the "black box" that no code will ever match.

I also believe no matter how advance Artificial Intelligence become, it could never outshine human brain. So I agree with @nmwf

You must first experience that which you wish to express.
