How Do YOU Get New Copywriting Clients - Direct Mail or Email?

I find direct mail, followed up by an email
and then a phone call, works best.

How about you?

  • Yes, start with an ace sales letter.

After all a top notch pitch is what we're "selling."

And if the wondrous words makes the prospect's say "Yes, this is exactly what I need" you don't have to worry too much about the email and phone call.

    Because…

    They'll call you.

But if you don't hear from them within 7 days
    of mailing the sales letter...

  • I know many may disagree with my view.

If you don't hear from a prospect within 7 days.

The sales letter just didn't hit the mark (or maybe it got ignored, didn't get opened, never reached the decision maker etc).

So no real point in trying emails or phone calls (too easy to delete, and way too many voice mails).

Just send them a better letter.

    • I'm a stone cold direct sales letter user. I created my own system and it works very well for me.

If a prospect doesn't respond in 15 days, they get the next letter, which refers to the last letter.

If they don't respond in 15 days, they get the third letter, which refers to the past 2 letters.

After another 15 days goes by, then once a month they will get a sales letter for about 6 months.

Do note: My prospects are not random business owners. They are hand picked based on my metrics.

...But how many letters are you sending out per batch? ...& what's your expected response rate?
