As someone who has come to the copywriting section of the forum you are here because you are not an expert copywriter and want (or maybe even desperately need) to have the very *best* sales letter possible - so you can literally generate even more money then otherwise would be possible.

By and large your sales letter will be the KEY behind the sales that you will earn since people need to read what your product or service is all about before they make a purchase and decide to trust you and plunk down their hard earned money on your offer

Copywriters if you did not know typically charge hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars for EACH sales letter they write. And many of those who charge this much come here each and everyday to this forum and will frequently offer their help (for free) to you

So when someone has free time and offers suggestions or a critique to help you make improvements the very least that you can do is hit the "Thanks" button out of appreciation - especially because if you actually apply their suggestions you WILL make more money then otherwise - it's the least you can do

FYI - The critiques or suggestions that you will receive might appear to be criticisms of what is written in your sales letter, and this by most people might be taken to be negative or perceived to be an attack. However these negative seeming comments will simply do MORE for you for then someone stroking your ego and patting you on the back for a job well done. So, "Thanks" should also be equally given for criticism(s) as well.

SO REMEMBER: Be sure to hit the little "Thanks" button whenever someone helps you

My experience is that when you post asking for public criticism, the better copywriters on the forum will pick a small amount of your copy and rip it to shreds. If you take that criticism with respect and courtesy, and understand it sufficiently to make improvements, a shocking number of constructive suggestions tend to arrive via PM.

The high-end copywriters simply don't have time to help people who don't want help. Taking even the most abusive and vicious criticism with deference and an open mind is the signaling device that tells them you're not a waste of their time. They don't do it publicly, because that just tells people who to PM when they want to waste some really high-value time.

If I had demanded the level of help that copywriters here have volunteered, it would have cost me thousands of dollars. Gratitude goes a long way.

I have been a long time lurker and just now getting into posting but I would like to say I have learned a lot and the amount of knowledge given freely is pretty excellent.

While here, how do you thank for a post?

Once you have enough posts (I think it's five), you'll see a "THANKS" button in the lower right corner of every post that isn't your own. Just click it.

Giving a simple "Thank You" is the respectful thing to do.

When someone takes time out of their day to give a critique it's nice to know it is appreciated.

        Take care,

Well let me tell you, my lad - when you're walking 'ome one night, and some great homicidal maniac comes at you brandishing a bunch of loganberries - DON'T COME CRYIN' TO ME!

            Ahem. Sorry.

And now for something completely different.

Man, what does it say that two of the copywriters I most admire drink the same rum I do?
