A brick to the brain

You have just been hit in the head with a brick.

The doctors can't explain it – but the impact cleanly wiped all of the information you've gathered from every book you've ever read.

To make matters worse, your brain can now only hold 3 books' worth of information.

Which three do you want to re-read?
#copywriting #brain #brick
  • I figure on three empty books & get writin'.

Drill down on what I remember, mix an' match with what I now got.

Yeah, 'cos that brick hurt so hard I forgot about Amazon.

So now I'm readin' again, wiped to re-swiped.

An' I figure it's always like this.

    I realize I don't need to re-read those books.
I hire cubs and let them do the writing.
I go on the talking circuit selling my book -

  • Haha! Brilliant answer.

Pleased that I've read 90% of those.

  • Harry Potter. Every time you finished the series you could be on the edge of your seat to read them again.
  • I prefer the second one " The doctors can't explain it – but the impact cleanly wiped all of the information you've gathered from every book you've ever read. "

But of course, it depends on where you want to use it.
  • Maybe not copywriting related....

I'd read "Lateral Thinking" by Edward de Bono

    then....

"It's Not Luck" by Eliyahu M. Goldratt...

    and then...probably...

"How to get New Business in 90 days and keep it forever" by Wendy Evans.

But I'd most likely add most of ThePromotionalGuy list and rotate until more and more stuck....

...that...or until they found a cure.

  • And a week of observation.

I would take notes for a week about what I am currently seeing.
    And ask questions.

Why are people buying THAT? Why buy from him?
What is the message people respond to?
Why are they acting like that?
    And so on.

By OBSERVING human behavior, by looking at what they are buying, and all the questions that come with it...

Even with NO prior knowledge of salesmanship, persuasion, motivation or copywriting...

IF I had a week of Total Conscious Awareness of what was going on...

I believe I could come up with some answers if I were trying to sell anyone anything...by studying the who, what, why, when and how...

    of NOW.
