Hey guys,

I enjoy your valuable inputs. Lately I started paying attention to Ramit Sethi, it looks like he has quite a few products and a following.

What do guys think of his marketing efforts, emails, copywriting and positioning?

I would love to hear your thoughts. I have been trying to figure out the positioning for myself and it looks like a tricky thing to bring to shape.

Thanks!

I've never heard about him before, but I Googled his name and guess who
came up in the #1 position. Ramit Sethi!

(Some people have no sense of humor)

Seems like he is pretty established in that "get rich" market.
I guess you'll have to poke around to see how you does his
marketing. If you have media attention from a published book
it's not hard to use that as a springboard into your online marketing.

Honestly I think Ramit is one of the best marketers (or at least, has one of the best marketing teams) in existence.

Maybe not – maybe it's just because I'm exactly the kind of person he's targeting – but his copy and sales letters are easily the most compelling I've ever read.

He makes it VERY hard to say no to his products, and they're all big commitments.

I only said no when I first saw his material because if I bought his products, I'd literally starve to death (I was broke as a joke). I actually lost sleep because I couldn't afford his material.

Everything he does provides value AND nudges the prospect closer to a sale.

I've learned a lot, and continue to learn a lot, from him.

P.s. He seems funny / cool also.

I have no experience with the class, and I'll admit that his website is a little bit gimmicky.
But, his book (I Will Teach You To Be Rich) does have a lot of really good ideas in it and it is an easy read

The 'build up' to his course starts Monday as a 'live' session where he promises to reveal some exciting 'secrets'. Apparently it won't be recorded, so you just have to make sure you attend.

          I follow his work closely.

I think he's one of the best out there right now.

He's done a terrific job of taking some classic ideas and positioning them for a younger demo.

Which is doubly impressive considering how hard that demo is to reach.

(though I think that problem has more to do with younger people having less purchasing power more than any real cultural differences...)

I'd strongly recommend any copywriter sign up for at least his free lists and pay close attention.

If you can make millions as an Indian dude that writes long copy for young people with a website called "I will teach you to be rich", safe to say you've got a pretty solid understanding of positioning.

I use evernote to swipe daily, and I will just say it is hard to read any of his material without pulling out the swiper to take notes.
