To make a long story short, a semi-local business is seeking a staff copywriter and I've really been trying to work with this company for years now...even though I freelance and have dozens of clients. The best way in the door still seems like the typical application route though, so I need an opinion my my new resume. My old one was so out of date it made sense to start from scratch, and I'm not sure if I over-did it or not based on today's standards.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Update- I got some quick feedback so I removed my resume (thanks Alex!). Thanks for looking everyone!

Except for the word "unrivaled" it doesn't seem over-the-top to me.

I'd look for a way to get the word "you" in there a couple more times.

Keep in mind the first line of defense (so to speak), the screeners, are typically HR people who really don't get the nuances. You may do well to make some personal connections in the company and bypass the screeners.

Thanks. I rarely apply to "jobs" anymore but when I do, I'll hit sites like LinkedIn and figure out the company's hierarchy at the top. And once you have a name of who you're targeting, then I'll hit Facebook for additional ammo in my cover letter.

I always send my resume direct though- like you said, that way you skip the line and guarantee yourself a look.
