What about when your copy is copied?
On the flip side of the coin, has anyone ever had any of their original work 're-written'?
I'd be really interested to hear of your experiences; how you found out, how you dealt with it and what the outcome was.
I know you can have your website 'protected' by Copyscape (although I'm not sure if that means too much to a plagiariser), but what about articles and non-electronic copy?
They say that 'imitation is the highest form of flattery' so while this has never happened to me, I'd like to think I'd take it as a compliment. However, I live in the real world and I know that if somebody took a piece that I'd poured my heart and soul into it, and claimed it as their own, I'd be furious and probably heartbroken, I'm pretty sure there would even be tears!!
What steps do you have in place to ensure that your unique copy remains unique?
