What about when your copy is copied?

I don't I just move on and keep writing great stuff

If you notice someone is word for word using your stuff, generally I just contact the hosting company and point out to them about copy write infringement, almost all the time the account either removes it or the account is shut down, works for me all the time

I said most times some hosting depending on the country don't care

If someone re-write your article, it means: 1) you're good enough to imitate 2) this guy is not good enough to write his own stuff.

Probably, he/she will do a poor rewrite (he/she can't write well, remember?) so some phrases and word order will be the same. So if you run these texts through plagiarism checker like Unplag, it will show you all similar parts.

If your writing piece has something unique, such as research data, the words you invented or specific phrases, which are not so easy to change or thrown from the article without changing the whole sense of it, you will catch it. Even a Google search with quotation marks will help you to find direct matches.

And, frankly speaking, badges like "Protected by... " will not stop this folk.

I understand your emotions, as sometimes I see how people share my articles without proper acknowledgement, publish parts of them on forums under the nicknames and so on. It hurts, yes. But you should keep calm.

In the US you could fill the DMCA Takedown What is a DMCA Takedown? - DMCA.com, and copied content will be removed from a website. I don't know is in the Australian Law such things exist, but I'm sure if you check you'll find something similar. At forums I usually simply contact moderators, and they delete copied content, but at websites it's not so simple.

I think any type of protection is quite unuseful like sparrow said , just move on and write more ..

Long story short:

Way too much time, effort, and mental energy spent issuing DMCA takedown notices.

I could have paid someone to do it for me so I didn't waste time. I could have let it go - clearly they don't know what they're doing or they're too lazy to figure it out for themselves.

You have first mover advantage if you're an original creator. Go worry about that. Let the copy cats burn themselves out jumping from shiny object to shiny object and shortcut to shortcut.

If your copy is copied, an' you fully intended for that to happen, mebbe what you got is viral.

Plus also, it is a truth universally acknowledged that evry replicant gonna heart for sighta the mother ship.

I got no problem with flattery as a meansa simultaneously expressin' gratitude an' ambition, but I would favor transmutation over imitation.

It is more "pick up an' run" than "don apparel".

I've seen the exact copy of an ad, which started Ohio Man Discovers...

Only it was California Man Discovers...with even the same picture as the Ohio guy used, and the only change was on the order form.

What did he do? M. Ohio? He collected details, information and even ordered the product.

Then grew his business to a hundred million a year, while Mr. California was not only put out of business but did time in Club Fed for mail fraud.

Why don't you write? Put something out there and become a copywriter worth copying? Almost all known copywriters can be seen in their copy, it is pretty easy to see one from another when you get to know their work.

It seems like there are these people now, hired by freelancer to post up any sort of controversy, so, if you are one of those being paid, then continue on, keep working...

and if not getting paid, why not focus on copy which WILL give you a decent paycheck and then some?

PS. Thieves have a tendency to be short lived.

I see my stuff being swiped every week. Usually they do a poor job.

I suspect the reason is because while I'm paid handsomely to write my copy and spend weeks writing and researching, the one plagiarizing is probably paid only a few hundred measly bucks.

So they do this word substitution thing which castrates the copy.

They don't care because they're paid to write words.

I, on the other hand, am paid for results.

So swipe away!

Copywriting is a skill - the copy is only the result. Don't get too emotionally invested in your results that it detracts from furthering your skill level.

it is really a nightmare for bloggers when some one stole their content.And to be very honest it is quite shameful act for those who copy and use copyscape. But For wordpress you can use different plug in which do not allow you to copy something from their website. Also don't worry the copied content won't have as much value as your original content.
