So I just created this site today and would really appreciate some feedback. I'm totally new to web design and relatively new to copywriting. The site is:

    Zach, just as an FYI.

The big thing that appeals to this market is NAME DROPPING.

For instance, one of my clients is probably world's most successful independent film making teacher.

His students are directors you see today. People like Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino. (But they didn't start out that way. They took his class.)

It's the names people want to know who have used or think highly of your material.

One recognizable name is worth 1000 words.

In lieu of that, try quote dropping. Using quotes of successful scriptwriters and peppering them throughout your sales letter with their picture.

That's been known to increase conversions as well.

^ value bomb right here. Take it from a screenwriter-turned-copywriter.

      EDITED TO ADD:
There's nothing in here that tells me what to DO with that script once I've written it.

If you've been anywhere near the industry, you know that's a big challenge aspiring screenwriters face.

There are plenty of free and low-cost script writing resources available. How is yours different?

        Zack,

Seriously consider hiring Angie. If only for a consult.

She is/was your market. She was probably around other struggling screenwriters.

She knows their dreams and fears.

You may think they're obvious, but trust me, they're not.

Of course they want a studio to buy their script. But it's the specific articulation of that dream that will resonate.

It's up to you, but Angie's advice could make all the difference.

    Hi Zach,

    Design: 8/10. It's super cool and super-simple.
Copywriting: 5/10. Some broken English issues and other small tweaks needed.

As other members have recommended, you should definitely get a professional helping hand (at least for some editing).

    Good luck!
    Thanks

There is a tide in the affairs of men which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted — all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, And we must take the current when it serves, Or lose our ventures. - Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare

Zach, just checked out your site and it looks like a parked page with a few links. Did you take it down again?
