Tribute to Herschell Gordon Lewis - RIP Dear Friend
For those who have seen his movies, read his books or listened to his interviews, may not know the man. You either followed him or loathed him.
He could be perceived as creepy, maniacal, twisted, or was it all an act? He stretched the boundaries, in print and on the silver screen. In the 70s those boundaries were stretched just a little to far and landed him behind bars for fraud.
What I know and remembered, he was accomplished. Film Maker, Producer, Screen Writer, Storyteller, Copy Writer, Director, Teacher, Radio Announcer, Publisher, Advertising Agency Owner.
I own 10 of his books. Power Copywriting is my all time favorite of his writings, which I am currently rereading.
September 26, 2016 he past away at the age of 90.
