Hello

Would be great to see more works done from Joanna Wiebe from copyhackers.com.

Here is one landing page, and she uses this as an example in her workshops etc : https://www.sweatblock.com/

So if you guys can throw some from Joanna, that would be great.

I'm also interested to hear, what kind of research do you do when you try to find jobs done by some specific copywriter?

    Did she write that page?

    Most likely the sales will go up in a BIG way
    by adding an s to the end of CONTROL in the headline.

    Seen it lift response by 3x.

    The old headline was....

    Put Music In Your Life

    The new headline was...

    Puts Music In Your Life

    The reason is because it subtlely gets the reader
    to believe the thing does the work, not the reader.

    Many will have a portfolio of their work on their own website OR many, who write under contracts with Non Disclosure agreements in place, you won't find anything. Many of the latter write under pseudonyms anyhow.

    I'd ask them, after engaging in a conversation. Many will be glad to share. Doesn't she have tons of examples on her site?

      Yep, didn't find any porfolios. Honestly, I rarely see copywriters (at least successful ones) sharing portfolio.

      Usually there is some kind reference list where you can see the name and the logo of some companies, but it still doesn't help much.. Because if the home page is not the one that has been boosted, it is hard to find.

    In Joanna's case, her work product should not be a focal point. Swiping would be a waste of time.

    I believe what you should spend time analyzing, what you should "swipe," is HER PROCESS.

    I'm told she has a new program in the works. I'd check out.

      TRUE! I've been in her one day live workshop. She was teaching exactly that PROCESS there. And yea, that was a great one.

      So I'm a big fan of her, and that's why I'm interested to see more of her works.

    If a sales piece does well, and you're selling a similar product in the same niche, why not use the same flow?

    Copywriters have been using that technique with great success for many years.

    Insteada kissin' in on familiaritya Ssswipe, Ewan's examplea S exodusses out on a Wipesss.

    So we got breath in, an' breath out --- an' material change from sameo to reframeo.

    Fail to imbibe & you got nuthin'. (So Swipe!)

    Swipes are in, wipes are out, c/o respiration's ever reoxygenatin,' renool.

    Take sumthin', an' take it forward --- or suffocate in a vacuum, I guess.

      Personally I haven't attended Joanna's workshop but I have watched, heard and read material by her and her copy hackers team.

      It may not be unique to her but there are traits that come through in her personality, charisma and passion that translates into her work and into other people who have success as what they do.

      I think it is a combination or recipe that successful people understand.

      The recipe is not necessarily a copy and paste thing that anyone can just grab and use although they can use outputs from successful people if they understand what they are doing.

      Part of the recipe as I see it is a deep understanding of their craft.

      Another part is confidence gained through experience both successes and failures.

      One of the other components is the ability to link the emotional outcome someone wants and weave it into the copy they produce.

      Many people can identify features and benefits but many cannot identify the emotional reasons or triggers that will elicit a response.

      I think Joanna has an emotional "hook-a-bility" in her copy that the ideal prospect identifies and resonates with.

      She is not unique in this skill but she's cuter than Rick so get's my cuteness vote anyway

      When it comes to attractiveness there is no better measure in business than putting dollars in the bank.

      The best copywriters are super attractive - just look at Carlton, Bencivenga, Duris. . .

      Nah! . . .J takes the cake.

        Hmm, biggest takeaway..

        Well, if you live in Finland.. And you know that a full day workshop starts at 8 am in the USA, don't arrive the night before, sleep 2 hours badly and be the most jetlagged guy in the building who struggles to remember own name

        Seriously.. All the "elements" of that copywriting were quite familiar already. And by elements I mean stuff like Amazon review research, headline formulas, visitor awareness stages etc..

        But that was the first time I saw someone combining all these as one systematic process. And with one day you can only get sneak peek to this topic.

        So probably that. Not very fertile answer But I was really suffering that whole day, and my brains were on a Teflon mode

        That's true, but this is a universal thing, not just a copywriting related "issue".

        You can teach and learn techniques in almost any area of life. But still, the ones who really stand out has "something special" to add there.

        And this "something special" is often called intuition. And intuition is the result of your talent + experience.
