A number of good email writers here -- but I think you're going to have trouble with the above condition. No one here has any idea who you are or where you're from, and you want someone to write a whopping 20 emails and then wait for payment?

You ask if there's someone here you can trust -- well, that needs to go both ways. Maybe if you offer 50% up front and then the rest upon completion, you'd be meeting the writer halfway.

    Just my .02...

  • I hate to say it, but good luck getting anybody BUT the elance types to touch this project. Any copywriter worth their salt (i.e. one that can actually make you money) wouldn't live with those restrictions if they were given by their own mother, let alone a client.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you avoid the freelance sites you'll find that real freelancers don't need babysitters - and they don't take payment after delivery, either.

Edited to add - for future reference, real copywriters cringe when they hear "copyscape" - we take a lot of pride in our work, and if you can't take on faith that we at least wrote it ourselves, you're probably far from our ideal client. I've never promised my work will pass copyscape - I've never had to. My work speaks for itself.

hi KenStrong, good point, 50% upfront and then the rest upon completion is fine. But where to find good writer to write?

I don't write copy for any financial markets but for the benefit of any other copywriters who might be interested in your project... I may be able to point why you're having trouble finding the type of copywriter you believe you need.

          1) What is your budget for the 20 emails? Or what are you looking to pay per email? Every copywriter has an idea of what they need/want to make per month, so why waste your time talking with people who need/want to charge more than your budget?

          2) 5 days **could** eliminate many potential candidates for you. You would have catch someone who has an opening right now in their schedule to take your project.

          3) The amount of time needed to write 100% original autoresponder emails, especially for 20 emails, can be considerable. I'm not the fastest copywriter but my clients don't care. To write, edit, proof, and polish a single autoresponder email takes me on a hour typically. That's after I've done the research or studied the product being written about. So a 20 email series would be at least a 20 hour commitment for me and I charge accordingly.

          4) Mentioning ESL as a requirement is fine on sites like Elance but I don't recommend it here. Off the top of my head, I could mention half a dozen Warrior copywriters that English isn't their first language and they could still write sales copy that kicks a$$ and is top-notch.

For example, fellow Warrior Dean Dhuli is a very good copywriter who has written for a number of financial niche clients including financial newsletter powerhouse Agora. Unless someone else, like me, told you... you would never know that English was not the first language Dean ever learned.

          Hope that helps,

          Mike

            Denis,
Have you been previously 'burnt' on the freelancing boards? ;-)

This job's criteria are so tight that whoever among native US English-speaking writers actually qualifies would probably be in very high demand anyway.

No doubt a good content writer (ideally with Forex writing experience) could create a decent email series - one that concentrates on educating the market in ways most relevant to the product you're selling.

However, when you start turning the screws on number of emails per day, daily calls etc, I suspect a lot of these folks will give your project a wide berth.

Now, if you're actually looking for email copy, then doing that well (i.e. your CTR to the sales page goes up) will take time and creative energy. The copywriter will need to research and know 'something' about your product, your audience and you, in order to craft words and stories that 'speak' to your readers.

I don't know of anyone who can do 5 of those per day... a few might be able to produce 5 initial drafts in 24 hours but then need extra time for editing and proofreading.

Also, for email copywriting purposes, the word count is arbitrary.

You might find that a 300 word email does better than a 500 or 700 or 1000 word mail etc. It'll often depend on the email copy, the online sales page they're being encouraged to visit, and the point in the autoresponder cycle when that particular mail is read. Lots of variables to track.

If I were you I'd give some thought to what the real business purpose of your email campaign for this product is to be. Once you've put that in writing it should become easier to see if you need a content writer or an email copywriter. Maybe it'll be a bit of both (e.g. 10 content emails and 10 'product sales aware' email copy pieces).

            Good luck in your search.

I love writing autoresponders! This thread interested me until I hit the "20 Forex auto responder emails are needed, 500 words for each article, all email contents need to be SEO friendly. This project should be completed within 5 days. You only will be pay upon completion of all email contents."

20 autoresponders in 5 days? Are you kidding? If I put that much time and effort into this project, you'd need to pay me up front first.

If you like, you can visit my website, http://www.DP-Copywriting-Service.com and check out the autoresponder samples I've posted.

Like I said, I love writing autoresponders. But if you want any kind of polished results, 20 of them in 5 days is far too restrictive.

              Hope this helps,

Denis, it would of been better if you specified a budget too considering you're placing this advert on a forum which has people who are paid in the range of $10-$1,000 and probably more for this type of job.

Well...One thing is for sure, folks...
If you are looking for new clients or new business,
The Warrior Forum or any other forum is NOT a place to be. Period!

I have seen so many "obsene" offers here, it's mind-boggling. Ludicrous.
        Preposterous. Infuriating. Outrageous. Downright criminal!

I have a feeling that the likes of Denis B are INTENT on insulting our intelligence by posting those types of offers. If he is looking for a
high-level pro to churn out effective and powerful copy, he'd
better put HIS act together first.

PS: By the way, I accept payment only A FEW MONTHS
after delivery. Twenty emails in a few hours - not a problem.
Do I also have to be a PHd to live up to your lofty expectations?
Oh, and you don't even have to pay me more than $100..
Geez, looks like an opportunity of a lifetime.
Can I PM you NOW?? Hope it's not too late...

If a business owner is accustomed to using Elance for jobs then
you know they are looking for a bargain. So as soon as I hear
those sites mentioned I immediately know what I'm up against.

Warriors on the other hand, for most part, know the value of
good copywriting and what the typical prices are.

  • You asked for my suggestion, so here it is. I suggest you rewrite your ad as follows:

    Seeking a Killer Email Copywriter!

I'm looking for someone I can trust for an email copy project. I'm going to need 20 emails in the forex niche, and would prefer someone who is familiar with forex products.

I would also prefer someone with regular office hours, so we can communicate about the project if questions or problems arise. SEO experience a plus, as I may be using these for articles in the future.

I understand that good copy is an investment, and my budget is $XXXX. I do need these emails quickly, so PM me with your quote and an approximate completion date, along with some samples, and we'll talk.

    Thanks in advance!

That'd get you the right copywriter here.

  • Exactly - the point of this approach is to stop alienating those who would actually be the best fit for your project.

Now, if you change your requirements to the above, I may also be able to help. I write dozens upon dozens of autoresponders every year in all kinds of different niches.

I'm not cheap, but I'm worth it. And if you don't realize now that you need THAT kind of writer, you'll unfortunately realize it too late when your "cheap" eLance writer produces poor results, and all of a sudden becomes very expensive...
