Hey Guys,

I am looking for a copywriter for my sales pages.

I have a sales page topics about forex, woman abdominal work outs, twitter, and acne that I need copy for.

I need something simple because I am not keeping the site for myself, I am selling the site. I need the copy to look fair though.

I am only looking for about 800-1000 words per copy.

I can send you bullet points on the the topic. The topic name and and price so that you can write around that.

I because this is only quick and fair copy, I will pay $25-$30 per copy. If anyone is looking to make some extra money please contact me. I am just asking for the copy to look fair.

Please PM me. I have more projects like this comming up in the future so please feel free to contact me. I can pay you up front for 5 topics each week. I just need to get this done.

Also if you are not interested in this deal, please don't post any replies.

Thanks,

DGA

Some will probably cry foul about your ridiculously low-ball offer.

    Others will defend it.

Still other will privately message you and beg for the work.

    What's the problem?

    • The problem is that the poster knows already that the
      offer is ridiculous.

I would normally advice anyone (as I have done before) to bypass
commenting on such offers, but for the poster to say that if you
are not interested in the offer you MUST not comment is a little
      brazen.

  • I got a good chuckle from this thread.
  • Vin,

He doesn't expect to make money with "just words"...

He expects to fill the letter up with fodder, tell potential buyers that it's "professionally written copy"... All they have to do is throw it up on to Clickbank and they'll make a million bucks...

He doesn't plan on making money with it. He plans on convincing some poor schmuck that they can make money with it.

I recommend that you get involved in a real business and stop selling broken websites that won't convert to people who don't know any better.

    • Paying for just words?

No mind control style of writing?

So if you don't need any emotional buttons hit... no persuasion or desire... someone that knows what keeps your prospects awake at night... knows how to display an objection and answer that objection... forces them to take immediate action...then you don't need a copywriter.

As Mel mentioned you need a digital point person or someone like that. This thread is laughable.

    • Just cut and paste as needed:

      Hey Guys,

I am looking for copy for some mini web site pages.

I need basic home page copy describing products for forex, woman abdominal work outs, twitter, and acne. I intend to sell the sites for around $300 each.

I need something quick and fast, because I just want to get this done and sell the sites. It's ok if the content is just fair, but I do need the copy to at least be easy to read and free of typos.

Even though my budget is just $25-$30 per page, I'm hoping to get about 800-1000 words per piece of copy. I know the copy won't be sales copy, but it needs to include a basic "Buy Now" button.

I will send you bullet points and the price on each product.

This project may be a good fit for someone looking to make some quick, easy money, since I don't expect that you'll be able to do any real research for each topic. If that sounds like it works for you, please contact me by PM.

I plan on building at least 5 of these web sites each week, and will pay you 100% up front, if we're a good fit.

      Thanks,

      DGA

P.S. I really can't pay you more than $25 -$30 for each page.

  • ai yi yi!!!

"if you want to make some extra money" ????

Surely you must be kidding, Mr. Feynman. Ooops. Except you're no Nobel Prize winning genius.

Writing copy for 10x that is slave wages in the copy world. At least for anything approaching decent copy.

    • I am not going to defend nor condemn the OP, but what I will say is...

5 x 800-1000 word peices of average content should take no longer than to produce.

people who state that they make $500-$5000 for the same are full of themselves

$150 for a day or two's work is more than most people on this forum would make in a week!

What the OP does with the sites is - he (or she) is offering work.

I can't believe how much arrogance floats around this place

      Just my two cents worth

    • Daniel...

Let's see how I can say this without any feelings getting hurt.

What happened between us that night was a one off type of thing... I was going through a weird period in life, and I'd had a drink or two too many.

And it's totally not you, it's me. I'm just not attracted to dudes.

I hope there's no hard feelings. And I'm sure we can still be friends (but seriously, you've got to quit calling me at 2:30am crying every night, that gets really old).

Don't worry though, there's some guy out there just waiting for a great guy like you to come into his life... It's going to happen for you buddy.

      </poor attempt at sarcasm>

      -Scott

  • Bryce,

I understand where you're coming from... but there's something you're missing.

Good copy takes a lot of time.

The average sales letter takes me 2 - 3 weeks to produce.

You can't tell me that you can research a target market... analyze the competition... write a killer headline (something that takes hours by itself) and write a whole letter in an hour.

    It just can't be done.

Maybe if it was just a rambling blog post and you already knew the subject, sure, you could do it in an hour... maybe less.

But ask any writer... it takes them longer to get a piece of work that size needed for publishing.

Now... I understand the OP isn't looking for "knock your socks off" copy.

But what he wants are things that LOOK like sales letters... so he can turn around and sell it as a complete business... as Scott said above.

We've all seen way too many people get burned by these unethical scammers... can you blame us for being a little unhappy with somoene not only insulting our work but trying to make us accessories to what is close to theft?

    • Hi Daniel.

My post wasnt meant as disrespect, but I tend to look at things "as they are" and the OP clearly stated that he wanted only "fair" content. He says "quick", "fair" and "simple" copy with no mention about anything looking like a sales page. This to me means a quick article style section of content between 800 and 1000 words, with no layout planning, etc.

You are right about the "typical" workload for a good or great sales letter, I have just completed 2 myself, and it took 2 weeks. I agree with you totally.

In regard to the intentions of the seller in relation to the selling of his sites, well that I stay out of. I am neither the internet police nor am I a consumer protection advocacy. What he does is obviously establish websites, and sell them for a profit. These days there are thousands of people doing this, and some are rediculous.

However buying a site or a business online is no different from buying any other business. The buyer has the responsibility of doing their due dilligence, and with the free tools and reseources available these days, it does not take long to determine if a site is worth the asking price or not.

I say that if the OP wants a writer to write his content and he is offering up front payment, let him hire a writer who is willing to do the work. The two of them will enter into a relationship that is nobody elses business, and we will never know the sites nor the results.

It just amazes me that people who have no intention of doing the work, and should be too busy to even respond to the post, actually have the time to shoot the OP down without real justification.

No disprespect intended, just my observation.

      Bryce

2-3 weeks for a sales letter? Crikey. I'd shoot myself if it took that long. I try to bang 'em out in 2-3 days. I find I go "off the boil" if it drags on. One day for research. One day to rough it out. One day to get it down. Works for me. But then I've been writing copy for a very long time (some say too long). Often I write the thing in my sleep. No kidding. Then I get up early and regurgitate it. Writing for Kern at the moment. Suck on that. :p

  • Hey Bryce,

It's possible... but he did make two references to sales pages.

As for the levelheaded discussion... I thought the place could do with something a bit different

    -Dan
  • You're telling me that MOST people on this forum make $600 a month?

You have got to be freakin' kidding me.

    -Scott
  • If it was to take just 1 day to write some "meager" copy for you that would fill your needs this would mean my take home pay would be all of...$3.33 an hour based on 9 hours of writing.

But, that's only if you go all out and throw in that extra $5 which would really mean oh SO much to me

Since I am absolutely overwhelmed (and am jumping for joy) over the offer don't hesitate to *immediately* PM me because working for that wage means that this is WIN-WIN-WIN all around!

I get to waste my time, you get your meager copy, and the poor sap that buys your stuff thinks they are getting real deal copy

    (Oh I'm sorry did I mean LOSE-LOSE-LOSE?)
