Your favorite ever sales letter

Hey all,

Now I know this is a topic that's probably been covered 100 million times. But I really cannot navigate the new WF layout (yeah, I know it's not that new, but I've not been posting on it that much since the changeover).

And this is a topic that really hits all the right spots for me.

What is your favorite ever sales letter? And, importantly, why?

I always use the Fresh-Pressed Olive OIl letter as an example. It's great, it hits all the right heights but most importantly for me, the sub-heads tell a story in their own right. Just go through the subs and see one kick-ass example of how to write for web.

But I also love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKLnhuzh9uY

For completely different, and I'm sure instantly understandable, reasons.

So what about you?

I bought it. Best investment ever. Great AD, great product. From here (1965) on, I was a Schwartz fan boy.

I'd have to say John Carlton's Mass Control that he wrote for Frank Kern.

The reason is, the amount of product it sold.

I like letters that sell millions.

Yes, they are hard to write, a great copywriter may only have a dozen in his lifetime that hit 1 million or more in total sales volume. But, they sure are fun when you do. Not much can beat that feeling. Well, ok, a few things, but this is a family friendly forum.

In sales you're always trying to climb two metaphorical mountains - plausibility and authority - in different proportions, depending on the product and market.
