Can I get some advice from veterans stuck in a rut?
I am not new to the concepts of Internet or direct marketing, by any means. I have been stagnated to the point lately that I cannot get anything done. I have a question for those of you copywriters who have come to a point in your careers that you cannot get anything done in terms of real work and promoting of your websites. The thing is, I am 24 years old and I have been around the web designing successful hobby websites since I was about 12.
I would not say that I have come to a point where I have been "successful", because most of the sites have been hobby websites, where there is no real value that I have added to them to get into the search engines. I have not promoted myself properly as I should have, probably. I want to be successful, and I believe that I have what it takes to do so... I already have contacts and the research methodologies down. I am kind of stagnated right now though. I am staying at my dad's currently, and that is really not a good environment to produce any work. What can you veterans suggest so that I can overcome this obstacle, and get back on track with my career and life? I have read everything that there is to about product promotion and direct marketing, but I cannot just seem to just "do it". It's like there is something that is in my life or in my past that is stopping me from being successful. I know I could; in one year's time be making a decent living. What is really holding me back?
It is not about the money ncessarily, I just want to be my own person again.
I am seriously facing some hurdles right now and I am not sure how I will overcome them.
Also,
I have recently ordered Ken McCarthy's advanced copywriting courses, are they worth it?
Thanks!
