Quick Question on Getting Copywriting Feedback

Hi, so I haven't visited Warrior Forum much at all over the last couple years. When I last came here regularly there was a subsection under copywriting where people would ask for a critique of a sales page (or so I remember). Is it still allowed to post a link to a sales or promotional page and ask people's advice on that page?

I wouldn't want to return to the forum just to get myself banned my first day or two back.

Thanks,
Anne

  • You will getter better feedback at Colin Theriot's Cult of Copy FACEBOOK group, where he has a section just for copy critiques, the Copy Colosseum. Much better opinions than you will get here.

    • Wow GordonJ,

I usually have a great deal of respect for your straight up wisdom. But I'm confused by your response here. Weren't you the guy who (just a couple weeks ago) said good changes were coming to this forum?

I realize there's only a few truly helpful members on this forum, but with your expertise, can't you try to be the change you want to see, and make this forum better? Instead of sending people somewhere else, because this place is not as good as it could be?

I too have found this copywriting section to be lacking. That's why I've tried to raise it up over the past few days. So far my efforts have not worked. But I'm not ready to give up just yet.

Or, maybe I should give up, and just move on? What do you think? I respect your opinion. If you think I'm wasting my time here, just let me know.

P.S. AnneE, while I'm still here, I'd be happy to look over your copy and give you any help I can.

  • Prolly the real question here is ... wherein lyeth the bar?

(I woulda said "wherein uppeth yonder hovereth..." but we gotta fix on the bar first or nowan ain't gonna figure no clue on shit.)

Thing is, I would want always for anywan hangin' out on forums to be transformational non-devotees.

We are all kinda polychromatic that way, we wanna -- formin' shape & karma outta interactional whatevah.

An' mebbe beyond all tribal zip & flip there exists a kinda mutually PLUSSOBARISTIC wanna that is so formless it informs evrywan.

    Ha!

I jus' re-read that an' figured Alex Cohen is imminent, kinda spank my ass.

Anyways, point is -- ... actshwlly I forgot what the frickin' point is.

rn, all I know is ... I gotta cook pizza suits my nails/hair detritus/allure combo.
  • Part of the etiquette here is to come back and acknowledge the advice you've received...

    Best wishes,
    Marcia Yudkin
  • Marcia, I do appreciate the advice I've received. I'm not sure if you meant that I hadn't commented on my other thread. I was offline for a few days there for surgery. Perhaps my timing of posting wasn't the best, but I am absolutely grateful for the help I've received.
