Please help with a web page critique

Greetings, everyone!

I've recently made my very first affiliate sale ever from my website attempting to explain how and why Binaural Beats are so cool for personal development (specifically, psychic development)

I use them, I swear by them, and I tried to put together what I thought was a nice pre-sell page with excellent content around my my affiliate links, and even an original flash animation here:
Binaural Beats for fast Psychic Development

When I got my first sale on something like my 10th visitor to the site I got very excited, but now with hundreds of more viewers and I growing tab from Google, I've got no more sales to show for it. I've only got like a 2% opt in rate on my free additional information.

I would be very grateful if you folks would take a look at my site with a fresh perspective. I've got very little experience with marketing, and I am probably making some classic blunders and can't see them.

I'm should think I am getting good traffic, so I'm guessing the problem has to be my copy. I am sending people searching for psychic development techniques to the page using this google ad:

Psychic Powers in days
not years. 20 minutes, twice a day.
Results in a week. Try it for $0.
www.AllThingsPsychic.com

Also, since it's very likely that lots of you have no idea what Binaural beats are all about, you are in the perfect place to let me know if I covered the topic well, since I'm trying to educate folks on the subject.

Thank you in advance for your help.

At this stage of the game, even breaking even would be an important milestone for me, so I appreaciate all the help I can get!

A couple of things. The white text against the black background is annoying to me. I eventually found myself squinting and stopped reading. You'll find others that feel it's okay but I think you need to appeal to the most people possible.

Another thing, I did search on Binaural Beats and found dozens of people considered pioneers and experts in the field. So, since you appear to be a virtual unknown, I think the following line should be reworded with a little more humility:

"My name is Dave DeBold, and I have literally written the book on how to tap every last ounce of mental power available to you, so I know a thing or two about how the mind works."

On a more uplifting note, I think the site design is clean and very presentable. I really don't care for all the black though. Psychic exploration and self-discovery are positive and uplifting experiences. I don't think the black theme is the best for this. Maybe for voo doo or black magic, but not this. I might use softer colors like blues, crèmes, etc. Just my opinion. Good luck!

      Thanks travlinguy,

I'll try another page with different colors and see how that works out.

I actually have written a book on mental development, but since it won't be released for a few months yet, I will tone down my verbiage as you suggested until it is out there to lend me some credibility.

Thanks for taking a look. Your time and comments are very appreciated.

      Anyone else have any suggestions?

        Wow.

        No other comments?

I guess I did everything else right then... I must be a marketing GENIUS!
        (Not)

Seriously, folks... please share your ideas. Your comments would be deeply appreciated.

I second that emotion, very annoying. Fix that and I think you'll get some valuable critiques. Right now my eyes feel violated...
