My #1 BEST-SELLING Book about bla bla bla

Is it unethical to use the term "best selling" on an ebook? I mean, technically it's MY best selling ebook.

The reason I ask is because I see this type of status-boosting term thrown around a lot. I really don't weigh it very heavily when I see a product claim to be the "#1 best selling book about bla bla bla".

What do the other warriors think? Is this misleading?

Not at all, if you say "my best selling book" or "the best selling book on x niche on ClickBank." You can even get a testimonial and say "The best book occording to X guru."

You're not lying, just fluffing it up (like a resume) by picking some obscure category.

Well, as long as you are saying it's "my #1 best selling" I don't think it's lying. I think it may be fluffing, but not lying. If it really is your best selling ebook, then by all means promote it that way! I think it's fine, no big deal. Granted, it may be a little overdone, but it's good.
I like more unique ideas personally, but there you go.
