This guy figured out how to use personalization to boost response and create a $1 billion company, pretty cool (the first few paragraphs do a good job explaining why this works)...

How dare that young whipper snapper use OLD SCHOOL HANDWRITTEN letter writing methods. It's unheard of! It's absurd! It doesn't work! It's down right foolish!

    I LOVE IT!

    OLD SCHOOL RULES!

It always sounds like a nice idea but how do you actually find a "boss" address? Even finding his/her email is hard as f4ck. Maybe physical letters are just a cool topic for the journalists to write about?) How do they say: The Money is in the List! :-D

This is a good lesson for a lot of people, personal touch goes a very long way in networking. It is funny how personal touch plays on human psychology.

    Straight to the top.

I wonder if he used some Smythson blue bordered kings writing paper and a quality fountain pen to scribe the note.

Pretty sure it wasn't done in a ballpoint on 70gsm white bond.

Nothing beats getting that nice laid paper that screams quality before the envelope is even opened.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

  • For sure, personal touch is cool.

That's why I desire always to be super specifically & diligently SEDOOCED

by stuff I might kinda sorta wanna WANT

    'steada merely bein' GOOSED

like I a vacuous hole into which all monstrosty may manifest to my ultimate detriment.
