Any advice on marketing to academics/researchers?

  • I do already have a list of good locations to place my ads but wonder about the tone I should use to reach them.
  • There's a ton of articles about how to market to teachers but hardly anything about academics.
  • So, any input appreciated! Thanks!

We know somewhat of the WHO, "acedemics", but have no idea of the what, do we? So there is no way to answer you with any useful information.

How do you know they are good locations? Is it a Starbux on the Mall of Academia?

My business associate is probably in your target profile, a Ph.D. in Physics, who taught at University level. If he is then what do you have for him?

One problem I see, is you are lumping several niches together in order to get a market. Reminds of melting rats and people (Stranger Things) together to make one big monster.

What is it you are offering?

If you already know where your market can be reached (your list of "good" locations), then hang out in that world for a few days. It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out the tone they use when they talk to each other.

And that's the tone you can start with, in your ads...

  • Likely these guys so far up their own asses they kinda expertly niche.

(tbh they so up their own asses is why we all got the internet in the first place.)

So: your target groop ain't frickin' stoopid.

They got so little time for distractin' crap, they mutin' random offahs kinda default.

Why not check your locations out and see how the competition is doing it? By the sound of it, you need to do a lot more homework on your niche and market before you make a fool of yourself - we can pick up the smell of a mortal you know!
