The link which took less than 5 seconds to find via Google, which delivered up dozens of sites to tell you all about this profession...

will at least give you a starting point, but if you are confused about what it is, maybe consider doing something you know how to do. Lots of students need their papers written/edited for them.

Some folks say "I have 20 years of experience as an adman."

What they mean to say is "I have one year of experience, that I've repeated 20 times."
A "senior" copywriter is at least familiar with the classic direct response copywriting legends who've gone before us... who say... "We tested this, and found out that this, or that, does not work."

    Just thinking.

Wouldn't that depend on who's bestowing the title?

I mean, I am a senior copywriter, senior financial adviser, senor football coach, senior vice-president of IT, senior mortgage originator... And have been those and all other senior jobs since I was 12.

      Cross my little heart.

To be considered as an experienced copywriter, one would
have probably done professional copywriting work or had
their copy published. A senior copywriter would likely have
had other junior copywriters working under them where they
approved those copywriters' work. I am certain that a person
can call themselves whatever they wish, but if they represent
themselves as an experienced or senior copywriter, they had
better be able to produce effective high-quality copy.

Senior copywriters earn $100K a year while copywriters earn $10K a year. Experienced copywriters earn around $50K a year. To become an experienced copywriter you have to read Claude Hopkins books seven times and make at least $10 from some written copy. Something like that.

A senior copywriter is a leader. A junior needs to be led.

The senior is a master and the other is a junior, we can say that he is in the race to learn new skills, but the master is already leading others.

A copywriter learns how to write copy by copying how the senior copywriter copies.

The one aspect of a genius is that a genius never learns by copying another person's copy.

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

There are very few copywriting geniuses. Almost all are mere circumlocutory copies.
