Copywriter wanted - software niche

I would like to get some prices, turnaround time and examples if possible of a copywriter who would be willing to write copy for me. Recently I have waited two months for a single page of copy and I find that unreasonable. I will take the most reasonable quote.

    Not the best way to choose a copywriter.

    And I'm not saying that just to be an ass.

    I'm not saying Ed isn't a good choice (I don't know him) but "software" isn't a niche.

    Investing software, accounting software, conversion tracking software... Whatever it is, it's going to require a different skill set.

    Troy, you should probably post what niche it's related to and what you think a "reasonable" quote and turnaround time would be.

    It'll save every involved time, you won't have to wade through dozens of unqualified applicants and more copywriters will take the time to contact you if they're actually interested.

    I've written for more than one software application but I need more information from you... especially since I do not accept projects that would be for a competitor of a client's software app.

    So...

    What type of software? What niche?

    What is your budget and needed delivery time?

      Troy- I think some of the difference in the answers given here is that there are businesses who will write customized software for a wide variety of niches, and businesses that write for a particular market who are specialists.

      What kind of brief did you give this copywriter?

      Did you agree a scope of work in writing (by email) and some target milestones dates for delivery of a 1st draft and a final draft?

      "I will take the most reasonable quote".
      This type of wording is seen a lot on the freelance boards where bidders are tripping over themselves to take a buyer's bait. Are you sure that's what you want?

    You want an expert or you want someone who does all kinds of work with no expertise?

    Expert sales copywriters charge more than what most people think is reasonable. I think they charge a fair price for what they ask as their copywriting fees.

    If I can deliver a conversion rate of say a minimum of 2% on a product that sells for $97.00 with a UV count of 10,000; that's certainly 200 people buying your product. If you count $97 as pure profit, that's $97 * 200 = $19400 from a single sales letter each month. And hey, if a sales copywriter charges 5K for such a sales letter, it's purely worth it.

    It's quality which counts most. You want money in the bank right? And lots of it.. right?

    Expertise comes at a price.

    And yes, I do offer reasonable prices but you will have to let us know your budget.
