Copywriter Recommendation Needed - 2k Budget, Dating Niche

Hi,

I'm one of those who lurk around and have never made a post since I joined the warrior forum in 2007.

Obviously, I need some help and hopefully can get it here.

I'm looking for a proven copywriter with decent reputation to work on a sales copy for my new ebook product to be launched in April.

Any advice on who might be the best man for the job is largely appreciated.

Of course, if you are one of the talented copywriters here on warrior, feel free to get in contact with me.

Thanks!

Budget: $2,000

Product/Niche: eBook for a sub-market within dating niche

Project requirement:
- A converting sales page
- Advice on font type, testimonial and product images placement and whatever elements on that sales copy that will increase conversion
- maybe a 6 series auto responder email if the budget allows???

Timeline/Deadline: Copy to be completed by end of March (eBook will be provided to the copywriter in first week of March)

Thank you for posting your niche, budget and time frame...

That's pretty rare around here. Good luck in your hunt for a writer.

    mos,

    MARRY ME!

    Seriously though...

While I'm a bit above your budget... the fact that you've actually posted your budget makes me want to kiss you.

For your budget, I recommend you get in touch with Vin Montello. He might have a student that fits within that price range... and since Vin overlooks the letter every step of the way, it's a real bargain.

You could also try David Babineau. He's usually about $2.5k but he might be willing to cut you a deal. I've seen his work and it's pretty good.

      Hi Mos,

Kudos on your OP. If more folks followed your lead, there would be less frustrated copywriters answering them.

More importantly, you are wisely eliminating emails and PMs from copywriters who won't write for your niche/product or their fees fall outside your stated budget.

In terms of a recommendation... One of my coaching students, Sam Mlambo is running a killer WSO. You may want to contact him and see if your project is one he would be interested in. Just to be clear, I do not get any type of compensation for making this recommendation. I just believe in Sam's ability to write real good copy.

      Here's a link to Sam's WSO:

      Best of luck,

Firstly, want to thank everyone for their time and valuable advices.

Thanks Daniel, for taking the time to pm me their contacts.

Till date, I have received quite a bit of pm offers, some proven and very reputable, I would say.

        Questions:

How do I choose the best man for the job? ( Too much on the table now, to be honest.)

        - Do I choose a copywriter who specialise in that niche?
        - Do I choose someone whom writing style I prefer?
        - Do I choose someone who can give me deep discount base on their usual rates? - Not that I know what their usual rates are...
        - Do I choose someone who has a good reputation here?

I know it's not professional for me to list the offers detail and copywriters here, but just need some advice to pick, oh well, the best man for the job, with my limited budget.

Any insights would be largely appreciated.

        p.s.

        Inbox contains 19 messages.
You have 19 messages stored, of a total 10 allowed.

What is that? I can't PM and my inbox can only store 10 messages? Are we in the 80s?
        - I only learn that after my virgin post... no wonder people keep mentioning about not able to PM...

Mos, the PM restriction is to nudge you into becoming a paid member of this forum, upon which the technology catches up with 2010 and common sense

    mos,

Whoever you pick... ask them about their RESULTS.

If they're any good they're sure to have at least *something*.

Also... My opinion to ask some of the more established copywriters via PM. We won't necessarily say someone's bad, but we *will* tell you who is GOOD.

Whether or not the copywriter "specializes" in that niche won't really matter that much... and for $2k you probably aren't getting an established specialist anyway.

Ultimately, go with your GUT. Not how much of a "bargain" it might seem... or anything else.

IMHO gut feelings are usually right... IF you take the time to listen to them.

      Hi mos,

Yes, I agree 100% with Daniel: you have to go for results, because talk is cheap - but DEEDS are golden.

It's also important to take a good look at the copywriter's own sales page.

After all, if they can't sell themselves in a compelling way, how can they do a good job with your product in the cut-throat dating niche?

      Warmest regards,

      Paul
