What Would You Charge for Just a Squeeze Page?

Hi everyone,

I've never done only a squeeze page (without the accompanying sales letter) and I'm scratching my head over here. Thought it might be best to get a reality check from some of my colleagues. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

  • # hours I expect to spend on it x my hourly rate x 2 = how much I would charge

The "x 2" part is because clients always take more time than you expect.

The biggest factor in that question is YOU.

Different copywriters will charge a different
fee but although I don't get asked quite often
to write a squeeze page alone, I charge $1,500.

But again, this normally comes as a package to
write the squeeze page, autoresponder series
and main sales letter along with articles and some
    other promotional stuff.

So it's a rare request, maybe because of how I
    advertise my services.

      I've seen anything from $300 - @$2,500.

A lot depends on the volume of the material you're going to have to review to put the squeeze together, and how in-demand the offer is. A squeeze page needs to pull out a few of the most powerful features of the offer, and create a compelling case for subscribing, usually using few words.

And, as you probably already know, it can sometimes be harder to write less, than more .

This is one of those "it depends" situations, and it's probably best to use an hourly rate to create an estimate.

Thank you, Ray. I think the client is a bit gun-shy about hiring another copywriter and wants to test the waters. Hopefully it will lead to the whole sales package, but I'm not factoring that notion into my fee.

Thanks, Collette. You said it perfectly! I might use that explanation if he balks.

Does the quote include graphics or just words?

I think that sometimes the layout makes much more difference than the words. Also if you're setting up a sales funnel with confirm page, download page with a One Time Offer and Cross Sells then you should charge more.

For an actual price it's important you know what your hourly rate is, and how long it will take. Also consider what the customer is willing to pay, and don't be afraid to sack the customer should they become a pain.

    Hi Susan,

If this fee helps you get a ballpark, I usually charge $497 for a squeeze page.

The opt in conversion rates for my clients and my own squeezes are some of
the best in the industry worldwide, often dramatically increasing every phase of business

overall (more sales, higher lifetime value)
due to the near instant increase in targeted opt ins
    once they begin using it.

Hope this helps. The rates seem to vary depending on the copywriter.
