Landing page has horrible conversion rate

Hi,

I was hoping for some critiques of my landing page (fast-degrees), it's a .com, but I can't post a link because I'm a new member.

Basically, I have a horrible conversion rate. I've tried adjustments on price, no change. I had to change the background color to match the clickbank order form just because it looked like a major mis-match.

I'm not sure if my eBook just sounds too good to be true (even though it is true), or if I'm not giving enough information about the book, or what. Any advice would be extremely helpful.

Thanks-

Sounds like you DO know what's wrong with it.

Your banner and graphics mention a degree but your headline mentions a career.

Your bullet graphic looks a little fuzzy, just use text.

After reading everything I don't really know what I'd be buying.

I don't think you've explained the basic problem and solution well enough. Here is what I THINK you are selling.

Many jobs out there require a college degree. But what if you can't wait 4 years to apply for those jobs or what if you don't have 4 years worth of tuition? Well, there are many fully accredited universities that offer accelerated degrees. Degrees that you can earn in as little as 1 year? 18 months?

This super hot guide that I'm offering will provide all the information you need to get these accelerated degrees, including any tests you might be required to take, the timing of those tests, the type of jobs these degrees qualify you for...

Am I in the ballpark? I think you are just too aware of what the product is, but your buyer doesn't get it, that's why they aren't buying. A testimonial or two would help also.

And if I'm totally wrong about what you are selling, then that also proves my point that you aren't explaining it well enough.

      Hi AnneE,

Yes, you are right. That's exactly what the product offers. It's a guide that tells you how you can earn your degree at an accelerated pace. It gives you tips on finding a college, the good/bad about certain colleges, and then it gives detailed information about how to earn credit for life experience, how to test out of classes, how to earn an entire year of college credit by passing one test, and so on.

You are right. I'm too familiar with the concept because I work with colleges day in and day out. I need to approach it from another perspective. It sounds like I have a lot of work to do.

Does anyone know of any company/person that helps with this type of thing? I'd love to hire someone who can communicate this perfectly; I'm obviously having a problem doing so.

      Thanks for all your input!

Living in Australia, with a different educational structure, I'm not a potential "customer" but I still had a look! I did like the look of the site but agree, i wasn't sure why I would need it. Good luck with updating your site-either through hiring a professional or if you feel confident in addressing this- why your book is so good for those wanting to study, or those who never knew they wanted to! You have the passion for your product-i wish you well!

I'm wondering if what you're offering is a list of schools that offer degrees for life experience. If that's the case I've done a lot of research on this niche and was actually into the process of developing my own sales page for it. I decided against it for a couple of reasons.

Although that method of getting a degree is legal, I feel it's right on the line as far as being ethical. I was planning to promote it through a site I've had for 10 years but felt it might smudge some of my long-standing credibility so I just put the project way on the back burner.

If that's what you've got, going let me know I might be able to strike you a good deal as I've got a considerable amount of the work already finished. I even have some articles written that are just collecting dust.
