Please review my video squeeze page

I am in the process of creating a video squeeze page. I am not sure if it recommended to create a squeeze page with very little content or a squeeze page that gives more detail.

My simple design can be seen at Pyxism Team One

Would something this simple get visitors to subscribe?

Or should I build something that includes more detail including testominals?

The video is okay, it gives a decent preview. It appears to be the company's canned presentation so I'm wondering how you'd change it if it sucked.

I would make one suggestion. Define MLM. As popular and common as that abbreviation is, there are still people who won't know what it means.

      Thanks for your feedback.

I created the video myself. I can have a new one created anytime if I need to alter the content.

One of my team members already suggested to use some other phrase other than MLM.

I wouldn't. Get it out there. People are going to find out PDQ anyway so why not just start the thinning process right from the beginning. Besides, you say it right in the video, people are looking for opportunities in this economy. Good luck.

Here is an interesting story about the word MLM.

Recently I was at my bank and was talking to the bank manager. I told him that I was involved in a new MLM program. He then replied, 'What is MLM?'. I then told him that it stood for Multi-Level Marketing. He then replied, 'What is Multi-Level marketing?'. I then told him it was a form of network marketing. The bank manager did understand the phrase network marketing.

You are correct that many people do not understand this industry.

I know simple video squeeze pages like this do well. But it never hurts to test different approaches (more text, testimonials, etc.).

I would make the call to action stronger. And also put together a more compelling lead magnet (what you're giving away). "Free information" is weak. How about a report that reveals a step-by-step blueprint for putting your recruting on auto pilot? Or a video revealing 4 simple strategies for getting other people to recruit for you at no cost? Re-frame it, and if you need to put together some killer free content to give away. It's worth the extra effort. As it is now it's pretty obvious you're inviting people to sign up for a sales pitch, and who wants to do that?

By the way, what did you use to create the video if you don't mind sharing? In a couple spots the voice over sounds a little robotic... but otherwise really good if it is indeed a computer generated voice.

You need to work the magic "you" or "your" into that headline. "You can earn thousands a month..." ..."People just like you are earning thousands a month..." ..."Here is your passport to thousands of dollars..."What if you had a system that..."

And make it an "irresistible offer".

Better. But why bother with the testimonials? One from Cyprus and one from Woop-Woop - I mean - New Zealand. Or do you plan on adding more? From places like Nigeria, Outer Slobbovia, Krackistan and the like?

These are real testimonials. I know that most sites today have phony testimonials, but these are testimonials that were actually submitted to me. When more testimonials are submitted I will add them to the list. But two was good enough to get started.

I now have two variations of this squeeze page. One does auto scrolling and the other requires manual scrolling.

    Auto Scrolling Squeeze Page

    Manual Scrolling Squeeze Page

    Which ones does everyone prefer?

I am sure that plenty may disagree, but with all of the 508 compliancy testing that I have had to do, plus just my 2 cents and even google's heat map, I would rather your optin be on the right-hand side. Just seems like a more natural progression and not back stepping.

Actually there is scientific evidence behind the design of this squeeze page. Will it increase conversions? I dont know.

But scientifically people look first to the top left, they also connect with a persons eyes first. Then there eyes go from left to right in a zig zag motion.

This squeeze page was designed to not go against the normal natural flow but actually to go with the normal flow of a persons eyes.

I know that conversions really depend on what you are peddling and how you present it.

So, as the designer of this video squeeze page, I can honestly say that the layout is based on scientific principles, but as for what information is being represented and what peoples actual responses will be to that information I can't say.

I can only do so much, the sales copy and video is really up to the client. Conversions have lots to do with the copy and the actual product and the presentation of the information.

Very interesting. My studies from the 508 were pretty generic, but the big company paid for it at the time, plus I was very interested in it with training seeing eye dogs, I realize not at all directly relative to this.

However, in all my "non" scientific classes that taught art, the eye starts at the top of the piece (or presentation, website being the object here) and goes from the right clockwise-right, bottom, to the left back to the top, correct?

So even going against that argument, I see the video, then an arrow left, to a guy with the "okay" sign which actually points me to the back button. That is my main point with it.

Just very curious, I love different and hope it works very well, please post and update.

Nope, its the top left first, and to assure that its the top left I chose the element of the human face, which all humans are attracted to instinctly.

A web page is only so big, so in all reality we all see everything at once, the human pic draws the attention first. Then hopefully you have time to read the headline before the video starts?

In advertising the most common element across the board is the human face. Its scientific and people relate to other people, even if they are images.

Not trying to argue at all, just explaining the thinking that went into this from my perspective. I could have easily put the video on the left, but the client wanted something different. Which I understand.

I really hope that the page converts for him, but if it does not, I really wouldn't balme the page layout. I would maybe lean towards whats trying being promoted as the blame.

If you have something that people really need and want you could serve it on a dirty plate and they would take it....

I do agree that some layouts are not eyepleaasing at all, and certain color combinations also can immediatly turn people off.

So are you an designer also? If so thats cool. I am just starting to do things for people on this forum a little at a time. I honestly am not after trying to compete with the other designers who are charging basically nothing for a skill set that is in high demand, but I am sure the cost to live in some foreign countries is way less than here, so to them its great money?

I want to make fair money for high quality reliable work. Many of the designers on this forum put out second rate work when it comes to squeeze pages and mini-sites. I have really only seen about 2 people who do what I call quality work...

I guess you get what you pay for. The squeeze page I designed in question was actually done for a very low price, way lower than what I would charge normally considering the work that went into it. I sell some pretty basic squeeze page designs in my sig, they are not templates, I customize them but they start out from the same basic layout. Overall they look and work great.

Enough of my blabbing...nice to meet you....

            Have a great night!

I would be interested in hearing your opinion between the two pages:

        Auto Scrolling Squeeze Page

        Manual Scrolling Squeeze Page

My only concern is that the scrolling may be distracting and ignore the video. But the visitor would still be able to hear the video anyway even if it is not being looked at.

        Which style do your prefer?

Thats interesting... The idea here was to put the video above the fold. But you are suggesting that the headline and paragraph below the video may be more important than the video.

It would be interesting to hear what others have to say about this suggestion.
