Today we are going to talk about something that is very important to getting any email opened, ad to be read, or any other website or sales page attracting viewers.

These may be some quick thoughts that jumped in your head as you
were going through your emails. Your headline needs to grab the
prospects attention.

Let me give you a quick example of how key the headline is to
grabbing attention...

"If You Want Great Tasting Water Thats Clean, Then Check This
Amazing New Water Filter Out!"

Now that headline is alright, but does that really make you want
to jump up and keep reading or even buy it. Probably not, but what
if we added a little emotion to the headline such as-

"Attention Home Owners" Don't Let You or Your Loved Ones Take
Another Drink of Water Out Of Your Faucet Again Until You Read This!

Which one would you probably stop and read {!firstname_fix}? Most
likely the second one. Obviously this can be adjusted more, but this
was just giving you a quick example off the top of my head real
quick.

So you can have the same information in your ad about the
water filter but with the second headline, you can now go on to
explain about how your filter kills the bacteria and other harmful
things in our water and how it makes it safe for your family.

You always want to make the headline related to your article or
content. Never have a headline and then never talk about anything
related to the headline. You want to test your headline and come up
with the best possible headline to your ad. This way you are not
wasting time or money on an ad that is not going to be read.

When you browse through a newspaper or magazine, most people flip
through pages and stop at the headlines that grab their attention
and then they go on and continue to read the article or ad. You can
have the best info, service, and or product in the world, but if no
ones opens your email, reads your ad, or opens your letter, no one
will ever know.

Now we can go on for days about how important the headline is, so
the easiest way to find the best headline is like we said is to test
and don't be afraid to ask others for their opinions to get feedback
from someone who isn't you.

I know us being business owners that sometimes we take our business
personal, but it is great to even get negative feedback on an ad or
project because then you can see the things you can adjust to
receive better results and better feedback for your company.

So the best suggestion for you for creating powerful headlines
is to practice writing more Attention Getting Headlines and Always
Make Sure You Answer The Question "Is This Going to Grab Peoples
Attention?"
