Hi, thanks in advance

I am looking for the url to one particular salesletter I saw recently while browsing the internet, I had saved the url to my favorites, but I can't find it now. The salesletter headline reads:

the headline was not in red, it was written in very nice looking colors and font, maybe some of you have seen it and know the specific product that it promotes. if you know who wrote it and could tell me the name of the copywriter I will appreciate it also.

thanks

That's a very good example of How Not To Do It. What were they thinking with all that drop-shadow font above the fold? They want the reader to go blind trying to read it? And the body font is too small. "As featured on Google, msn, yahoo, youtube and twitter" - Gosh, I'm excited. "Border Line" should be one word. "One Stop Shop for success". Not.

    • Nothing wrong with drop shadow when used correctly. In fact testing has shown it increases initial readership.

The problem on this headline isn't the drop shadow...

It's the addition of the raised letter embossing or whatever it is that puts a white "shell" (don't know what else to call it) around the font before the drop shadow. It's ridiculous. And worst of all is I've been seeing this a lot lately.

And the font itself was a bad choice.

And the body font... true it's small. But the biggest issue with it is IMO that it's a bad font choice to begin with. When in doubt go sans serif.

    • If that headline caught so much my attention that I even took a screenshot of it, it will probably catch the attention of most visitors, I have been taking screenshots at catchy headlines for years now, and it had been a while seen I did not take a screenshot of one until I saw that one.

    • That was my first thought also. I thought EEEKKKK,

  • I would have to say the top of that page hurt my eyes looking at it. I'm not too familiar with fonts but don't people test their copy before they put it out there?

I couldn't read the darn thing. Closed page right off the bat.

    • Recent research may suggest different... but not my recent research. And all things being equal... I'll take my actual boots on the ground research over something I had nothing to do with.
